Lambert gonna need some seasoning.

Lucius has a drive to the net and is not content on being a perimeter player which is good to see.

I listen to the game yesterday, and all throughout the broadcast I heard the play end with the IceHogs goaltender covering the puck, and Lucius was buzzing around him. He goes to the front of the net to generate offense. That's great to see.

Yep he’s definitely a bit of a gamer. Someone mentioned developing Roslovic as a centre. He was too much of a perimeter player here. Lucious is completely different player. I think he has potential now after watch last few games. I didn’t know much about him. He’s a bit of a puck hound.

After a very sleepy 1st period the Moose got it together in the final two periods, my observations below.

Lucius-Didn't have any points but from my eye was the most dangerous player on the ice between both teams. So many shifts where they had a chance at scoring because of something Lucius did.

Torgersson-Got promoted to Lucius' wing towards the end of the game and started throwing his body around, but overall a pretty quiet game.

Lambert-He just is able to access pockets of the offensive zone that others can't because of his skating and edge work. Just a tick off on some high danger passes that I am thinking he will start connecting on as he settles in.

Heinola-Just haven't seen dominant AHL Ville yet. Not concerned yet, but I keep waiting for this impressive nhl ready defenseman to show up and it just really didn't happen this weekend.

Salminen-Seemed like he was square and on time to the puck a vast majority of the time, a much deserved shut out.

Nice recap on the players.

The one thing I noticed about Salmi en was he didn’t have much for rebounds. Honestly only remembered two rebounds.

Like you said Chaz created a good scoring chance every shift. Was surprised with his skating (in a good way)

I was way more high on lucius then lambert b4 pentincton. Even posted he was my darkhorse but he was not ready but he got up to speed right quick. I expect him in the nhl before lambert.

Thanks for the detailed game report and analysis @WiscoJet -- I really miss watching the Moose but with the time diff and variable quality of the feeds it just ain't worth it now.

I do think that Heinola will re-adjust once he's past the sent-down blues and once again used to the Moose systems and play-style, which the big team seems to have looked at and adapted a little from, judging by their preseason play. Last year especially virtually everything ran through Heinola when he was on the ice, and I expect him to get up to speed quickly -- was he on the right or the left?

December 9 and 10 moose play in Abbotsford. Any Vancouverites care to go?
