I think this is a 1st that gets used for a Dach/Newhook kind of trade....While a first is a good return - I'd rather a prospect because we SUCK at drafting.

Also Jesus is our centerline absolute garbage now Suzuki plus 4th liners woof
What!? You’d be happy with a second? Lol I’ll be extremely pissed if not a first and good prospect.A 2nd round pick or more and I’m happy.
It will help the tank a lot , and we get to cash in while avoiding the injury factor !!!
Jets got a good centre. habs got a early round 2nd pickIt's a late first, I don't get why everyone thinks the Jets got fleeced.
I think/hope Hughes uses this pick to trade up in the draft and make sure to draft one of the top end forwards.
That is one team I can't stand, quick playoff exit sounds good, then we resign Monahannow we can all come together and root for a quick Jets playoff exit
Newhook is injury prone? That's new to me.The players we added on the trade market were injury prone. That's why we were able to get them.
Hughes has traded them every draft (Dach/Newhook). Pretty safe to assume we will see same. We're going to be in a rebuild forever because we keep drafting future AHLers in the first round.
So I don't care about picks.
Looks like Hughes went with the first team who accepted to give up a 1st.

I mean, it's gonna be pick 32... Not exactly exciting.I'm not sure what's more satisfying, Monahan getting us another 1st or all the posters on the main board who argued with us that he wouldn't, and are now wrong AGAIN about our deadline trades.
They are 6thThe Jets are first in the league... Thats very weak. I would've liked Lambert instead... Oh well.
