This is not a good team...too inconsistent and too many question marks. Ramos and Cano need to go.

Bottom line -- as long as Wilpons own this team, they will be a farce...I didn't think any owners could be worse than Dolan, but it seems I was wrong.
Cano has been hot, Rosario is batting .333 in over 35 games. McNeil is McNeil, Alonso is struggling but he’s a threat anytime, Conforto to a lesser extent — he’s a bit inconsistent. But yeah Wilpons is the major issue, they’re one or two pieces away offensively from being a serious threat. Bullpens are bipolar so you can’t ever tell

I’m losing sleep over Kelenic gone, Cano’s Age, Rosario’s defense (awareness and offense), an up and down pitching staff, terrible bullpen, lost GM and a questionable owner.
Yeah the second he comes to mind, my mood slowly turns sour. He’s big time. Our bullpen has been on the rise lately. I think DeGrom, Stroman, Wheeler, Matz, also if Noah is still here, it will make a HUGE difference.

There is the potential for a run. Have to stack up the next three series. Nobody is running away with the WC in the NL.

White Sox could be problematic. Younger team that is still playing hard. We just saw the Pirates and how bad they have been. Miami is a team they need to take care of business against.

After that, Nats and Braves. Nats series could be the death of the team.

Still think losing all those games in San Fran did them in. They win that first game where Alonso goes deep in the 16th, it's a different series and they could be .500 already.

As long as the Wilpons are here it ain’t gonna matter. There will be no rebuild. No stripping it down to the studs. No patience. They quite literally need money. Now. Tomorrow. Every day. They’re leveraged up to their eyes

If they’re still here, I’m kinda on board with this insanity. **** it. Set the place on fire.

Honestly, hell yeah. Who gives a f***. I’m so jaded by this point that the heat of this thing burning is way more interesting. They’re not going to wake up one day and know how to team build

They’re never closer or further from contention at any given time anyway with Crypt Keeper Fred and his large, adult son running the show. The hand of God casting a good die once a decade gets them far.

They need to go at least 7-3 for sure. Their schedule gets really tough again so they could be dead and buried again right after this stretch but I'm just concerned about getting to that point.

And therein lies the problem ... they don't beat the teams they could/should on a regular basis. Until they do that, they cannot be viewed as a serious "contender" (even for a wild card spot).

For all I've criticized BvW for, that is an excellent trade value wise.

Blue Jays a trash organization.

If the Mets are planning on turning around and trading other pitchers and rebuilding the guy to honestly trade is DeGrom. He’s going to be 32, arguably a top 3 pitcher in the league, and about to make 30M. If you’re going to rebuild by trading Syndergaard/Wheeler there is no point in keeping him when you can get a massive haul in return.

Mets adamantly refuse to "rebuild" -- prime example: giving deGrom a NTC.

Everywhere I read “the Mets system is terrible”....trade two prospects for maybe the best pitcher to move this deadline and you get “holy cow how can the Mets trade prospects”

Great move

So what are the odds that Noah gets dealt for 2 pitching prospects lesser or equal to the ones given for stroman putting the team right back where they started?

It's a great move value wise but I just don't understand the Mets' plan here. They trade futures for Stroman and they're going to trade Noah for futures. It's almost as if they're more focused on managing expenses than winning games.

I Don't buy the Syndergaard rumors at all. If they are true and SD wants them this is what I want

I want them to take Cano and I will take Myers. They will pick up the balance in salary. Plus he only has 3 years left
I want Lucchesi or Paddack
Urias
Reyes or Renfroe

They say no then see ya. No problem keeping Noah.

Wheeler will be dealt, along with Frazier. They keep Vargas IMO.
