Such a contrast to look at situations both Yankees and Mets are in. Yankees are too good for their own good if ya know what I mean? It's all about October for them. Even with all these crazy injuries, they win with their JV team...nuts how stacked Yanks are.

In contrast every Met game is like life and death...been like this forever and hence the differences in the fanbases. Now I'm not saying Yankee fans take winning for granted...not at all. It is a reasonable expectation tho that before every season that Yankees will win 100+ regular season game, make the playoffs and than we see what happens...rinse and repeat.

With us Met fans, we are like Forest Gump...every season you never know what your going to get other than you can definitely count on alot of angst and agida along the way. Only time I ever felt like a Yankee fan was that 1984-1990 run the Mets had where tho we only one one WS(thx f***ing Doc and Darryl for loving cocaine so much otherwise it would have been one two more WS I'm convinced) you knew Mets were winning 90+ and would be in the playoff hunt till the very end.

Now days obviously not so much, tho every once in a while the baseball gods throw us Met faithful a bone(ie..2006 thru 2008...2015 and 2016) to keep us coming back and that is why this current Met hot streak is so intriguing as it really could be a precursor for even better things.

First things first...win 3 of 4 vs Marlins...get ourselves over the .500 mark and I'll really start to do as Tug McGraw so famously said in that magical 1973 season... "Ya Gotta Believe".

Meantime as Mets are in life and death patrol on a nightly basis, as I said earlier, Yankees will keep winning with forget their JV team...their middle school team and cruise into October....lol

Holy shit, something just dawned on me and I felt compelled to share and figured this thread was as good as any to do it. For first time in I can't even remember this Met, Jets, Knicks and Rangers fan has nothing to complain about at the present time and in fact I feel that there is hope going forward in the future for all 4 of my teams.

Now for some of y'all that may not seem like a big deal especially if your a Yankee or even football Giant fan as you have 2 SB's in the past 12 years. But for me, a guy in his mid 50's to actually feel some real hope from all 4 of my teams at the same exact time, as I said is a very rare thing.

The Mets are on a nice little roll and have gotten themselves within sniffing distance of a WC race something that most of here in Met Nation thought was a pipe dream not even 3-4 weeks ago. Solid young core of bats and solid arms gives us all hope for the future.

The Jets look like they will be much improved this season as they have made all the right moves since the football gods smiled upon us last year and gifted us a franchise type QB that we've been looking for since Joe Namath in Sam Darnold including firing Mike Mac. Having Joe Douglass in charge is the real reason that that I'm so hopeful as there is no way we will be an embarrassing shit show anymore under his watch....not a chance. I truly believe good times are in store for us Jet fans. This is going to sound nuts I'm sure to some but this might be the first time since those solid mid 80's Jet teams that I could see a Super Bowl in our future. And once again it comes down to Joe Douglass as I am supremely confident he will bring in the right players and he already has by the Kalil signing.

The Knicks believe it or not have some nice pieces and IMO I think they are on the right track in this rebuild. I think in the long run, it will be a blessing in disguise we didn't get Durant and Kyree. I really like some of our kids and I think that despite themselves, the Knicks ended up in solid position to one day in the not too distant future be competitive for an NBA title. Who's to say maybe we don't sign a Giannis in a year or two when he becomes a FA...we'll see.

The Rangers. We all know what's going on here and I'm like everyone else...so very antsie for training camp to start and than the season so we can than watch and observe all of this absurd talent that we now have at our disposal. To see Kakko play with Panarin is going to be phenomenal. Bottom line...I can see a Cup or two in the next 7-10 years...I really can.

So there ya have it...nothing to complain about. Nothing but hope and good vibes going on. I don't know what I'm going to do now that I can't complain about anything. Oh wait...the Mets are playing in an hour. I'm sure I'll get some agida seeing how these 2 huge games for us play out....lol

lots of hard contact off DeGrom...Fish seem to inexplicably have his number.

Yup...the agida is already starting as I suspected it would.

The Marlins even as pathetic as they are always seem to give our team fits. Been that way forever it seems.

Even the Marlin pitcher hit a rope off of deGrom. Oh man...hope this is not going to be one of those nail biters.

In the meantime, McNeil more and more is looking like what Greg Jeffries was supposed to be for us back in the late 80's...lol

I see deGrom is now second in fWAR and basically T-3 in bWAR again. Glad he got everything back on track.

Rosario DING DONG!!...woo hoo tho if I'm being honest, no f***ing way that that ball goes out unless theses balls weren't juiced. Any other year that ball is flyout maybe to the warning track. Today's game...homer. Not complaining...just saying...lol

Rosario needs to go play winter ball in Mexico or somewhere and try CF. If he could be even average there it would be huge.
