Carsten Charles showing those Tanner Glass and McLeod level intangibles....sacrificing half a mil in the process.

loved the 'that was for you bitch'. Snell's a clown.

Some big questions for the Yankees this offseason.

Are they going to bank on Voit/Bird for 1B production next season? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Goldschmidt only has 1 yr left on his contract and with Arizona likely losing Corbin and Pollock, they may look to push for a rebuild. Can always move Andujar to 1B as well as an option.

Will they fall into the CC is too old narrative and not make a big effort to re-sign him? Are they going to replace him with say a Corbin in FA?

McCutchen and Britton have been stupid good the last couple of weeks for the team - I reckon both will be too expensive to retain, but it would be great if they returned. I'm not sure if they'll be able to give Britton/DRob/Betances big contracts. Maybe it's time to move on from Gardner and replace him with Cutch - though I wouldn't be a big fan of that as Cutch's defense leaves a lot to be desired.

After the AS Break, Jason Vargas was 5-3 with a 3.81 ERA, .218 BAA, an 8.61 K/9, 2.65 BB/9, and a 1.16 HR/9. His xFIP was 3.94. None of this is fantastic or anything, but it's pretty much what he was signed to do, so it's encouraging to see he still has it in him. Given he's under contract for next season, it would be really helpful if he could repeat that kind of production as the #5.

Or better yet convince some GM that he's worth trading for.

Here is what I want the Rotation to have next year:

Severino
Happ
Tanaka

Monty wont be ready until the middle of the season the earliest. So you have two spots open technically. Sheffield probably should start in AAA. Leaves two spots. Gray might be traded or kept to compete for the 5th spot. I would like to bring in Corbin. We dont know who else may be a available. I think we should stay away from Keuchel, think he will start to decline for the money you will have to pay him. If Kershaw opts out, I worry about his back. There could be room for CC, but I dont know. I love him and Gardner for what they have done for this organization and they still can contribute, but can they bring more than whatever else is out there? I dont think so. If Gardner was ok with a more limited role then sure, but he wont be. He still has some left. Cutch is a better hitter. I think I would rather him. Gets on base a ton. Righty bat.

I think they definitely should bring Britton back. DRob too if they feel the money is fair.

I am out on Machado, but would be in on Harper for 1B. I would sell high on Voit. Keep Bird as the back up. You can find ABs for him throughout the year. Never know with injuries. PLUS, you may prefer to trade Hicks after next season with 1 year remaining on his contract I believe. Trade him with high value, slide Harper to CF and get Bird at 1B.

Yankees will bring back CC and they'll try and bring back Happ. Doubt there'll be any additions on the pitching side. Don't be surprised to see D-Rob gone if someone throws ridiculous money at him. I do like Britton as Plan B.

Oh I doubt this.

I think they're going to throw a whole bunch of money at Corbin. Whether or not thats the right decision is another question entirely.

Home or away doesn’t really matter in these one game play ins.

The play in is a coin flip.

Yeah but you always wanna wake up in your own bed and get last licks. Home-field advantage might not really exist in terms of results but you'd much rather be at home for this game.

Andujar's 2nd half has been something to behold.

For all his warts, hes raked and is only 1 double shy of tying the AL rookie record (which he would probably hold right now had he played the entire season.)
