Yankees are such a damn enigma. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win 8 in a row then follow that up by losing 6 out of 8

Without Chapman right and now Loaisiga on the Covid list, this bp is seriously hurting. You still cant blow a 5 run lead in the 9th,you just cant.

That one is on Boone.

His pitching staff has been stellar for 26 innings and he sits there playing pocket pool while Green lets six runs cross the plate.

He should have been out of that game as soon as he faced his minimum three.

If you want to bring in Green, fine, do it before the inning. Domingo given you two scoreless innings was more than enough, everyone knows he's due for a bad inning. Boone just is flat out awful, he is incapable of reading the game and making changes on the fly.

Anybody but the guy giving up six runs?

They just shut the Astros out in a bullpen game on Friday.
Not even close.A bp that is seriously undermanned right now and needs its closer to get his head out of his ass
It also sucks. It's sucked for at least two years now.

They pad their stats in wins and then have nuclear meltdowns.

I'd rather have a bullpen that puts up solid stats but can be trusted to not have 5+ run comebacks in the 9th inning on the regular.

Im sure Boone was hoping he wouldnt have to bring Green in and was hoping German could finish it off.I cant blame him there,Green has been working too much lately and the b.p is seriously thin right now.

Yanks won 4 of 6 from Houston, and the two losses make it seem like they got swept in both.

Chapman warming up in a 1-0 game, but not today seems strange? Up 7-2 vs the bottom of the order would seem like a good time to use him, he could have given up a grandslam and they would still be up 7-6.

Boone has no faith in Chapman right now and its hurting the rest of the pen

Especially after, you know, Green faced his three batters and they were all hitting sonic booms off of him.

Literally, how did he think that inning would end?

It's not like Green gave up bloopers or walked guys. He was throwing batting practice. Was he suddenly going to stop doing that?
