Greinke in game 1 and most likely Verlander in 2. Cole in 3.

Won't be easy but we can beat them. Yankees hitters grind out at bats and that's the best way to get to Cole and Verlander. Get their pitch counts up and make Houston use their pen.

IMO winner of NY/HOU goes on to win the whole thing.

I hate to be pessimistic but the way Cole is pitching right now and the way Verlander seems to always pitch against the Yankees....I'm just not confident that they can get those guys out early enough in the game to have more than one or two innings against the bullpen. Ugh it would suck seeing a Yankees former first round draft pick be a reason for their exit in the postseason.

I guess anything can happen. Yanks weren't suppose to sniff beating the Braves in 96 with the three headed monster of Smoltz, Maddux, and Glavine, but they somehow pulled it off.

It’s going to be really tough, but you have to beat the best to be the best. All starts with a Game 1 win and flipping home field advantage.

Too early to think ahead but aren't Tanaka and Didi on expiring contracts? Do we let them walk and go all in on cole maybe 35m @ 8 years?

Wallop Greinke in Game 1 in Houston.

Battle vs a short rest Verlander in Houston for Game 2.

Then get Cole at YS for Game 3 and just try to get to the BP sooner rather than later.

Jack Curry's "hunch" is Tanaka, Paxton, Severino, would take his word since he works for YES, and is well connected.

How is Tanaka away in the post season? I can't find those splits anywhere.
Has two away games in the post-season. One win, one loss. Sub-2.0 ERA in both games.

One of them was the 2017 ALCS Game 1 vs Astros ;)
