This season has turned out to be a rather exciting one. Cant believe that people have jumped after those 6 losses. Yeah, they re-dug that hole they've been climbing, and yeah it looked bad but......lets face it, they havent quit. Going into Philly was a good RX for them after those horrific home losses. Just sweep and keep winning and the Cubbies will eventually fall. Maybe the Cardinals will fall harder or "help" the Cubbies get knocked for a loop.
We have one more really good last run and chance at this.
Like we all wanted, stay close until those last 15 or so and we have a good shot. Well, getting swept by the Braves and ESPECIALLY the Cubs, weren't in the game plan. Now, lets get a sweep of Philly.

Chatwood pitching tonight, replacing Darvish with tightness in right arm. I guess making us look foolish, really hurt his arm. Damn him.

I'll lay blame at the feet of the starters not being able to go deep in seemingly any game this season. The grade A guys in the bullpen are severely over-taxed. CC going down after three and Britton cramping yesterday certainly hasn't helped matters.

This is just a thing that people say.

We have one pitcher in the top 30 in innings pitched and it's Luis Cessa. We have two in the top 60.

Our top arms are not taxed.

Many our top relievers are on pace to max out their innings pitched. Yep just looked at Kahnle, Britton, Ottovino, and Chapmans IP over the past several years and overuse for them is a thing. So I couldn't give a shit less what other pitchers are doing and neither do our pitchers' bodies. Push the issue in the regular season and pay for it in the playoffs anyway.

Yep it's more likely that the Yankees and Boone, an analytic bunch, are just being dumbasses and purposely keeping their top relievers out of the game just because. I forgot, fans are geniuses that see the game at a level that others just can't....

Next man up, baby.

New York Yankees, built Ford tough.

Can you imagine if we had a full season of Stanton with these juiced balls? I still can't believe he has only played 9 games this year.

More Boone bashing in here..what a shock.Great win today.

I don't mind being critical of Boone or anyone really, but have good solid reasoning behind it.

I could see what was likely to happen once Dull came into the game, and I'm a couple of beers in on this holiday weekend, but I'll always look at all sides of the equation. Been drilled into me from my career. I can see where Boone is coming from in this instance. I may go about it a different way but I understand his reasoning and won't just jump to the conclusion that he's a dumbass that doesn't care about home field advantage.

Beyond that, f*** yeah what another awesome win. I shall drink another beer in their honor. I still like you @Machinehead even if I disagree sometimes ;)

Then that just means they don't care about home-field advantage, which is disturbing.

Yeah, they won, cause the hitters once again bailed Boone out of a mind-boggling stupid move.

Another Cubs loss. Win tonight and back to 3 games. Could nearly erase the Cubs series in the next 48 hours.

Arizona is white hot now and has been beating the Dodgers this weekend. They cone to Citi field next week for 4 games. That series is almost a playoff series. The winner of it keeps fighting, the loser might be out of it.

@ Nats, Phillies and DBacks before the Dodgers come into town. Might need 8 wins before that Dodgers series.
