I wonder if this was aimed at anyone in particular :sarcasm:

“We were interested in Stroman but we didn’t think he would be a difference-maker,” Cashman said. “We felt he would be in our bullpen in the postseason.”

The Mets have stopped someone from stealing a base

Remember this moment

LOL BR...I will remember this for as long as I remain vertical...hah.

Nice comeback win for the boys as we sit with the magic # at ONE for us to be eliminated.

Would have been nice for these next 5 games to truly matter but if we think about where we were on July 24th 11 games under .500 and the season looking like shit, for the Mets to still not be eliminated at this juncture, says alot about the heart and soul of the players on this team. Pretty damn proud of them for not giving up and giving us Met faithful a pretty damn fun and eventful August and September for the first time since 2016.

The future isn't so bad for the Metropolitan's and if we can fix this bullpen, we will be a force to reckoned with heading into 2020.

Pete killed that ball tonight. Two away from the record. Either way, here is the stat that SNY read on the broadcast:

Players to record 51 home runs, 118 RBI at 24 or younger (Alonso's current stat line):
Jimmie Foxx
Mickey Mantle
Willie Mays
Ralph Kiner
Pete Alonso

Yes, the Mets season is over after tonight, but this one was unreal to watch each and every night (not always for good reasons either)

i normally try to avoid hot takes, but guys i'm starting to think that jake degrom is good at pitching

Nimmo is 3rd on this team in walks and tonight is his 65th game lol

Walking machine. Wish he was healthy all year. With how aggressive the team is, his patience would have been great to have.

Him and JD Davis run professional ABs most of the time. Need to get those guys in full time next season. No excuse with veteran players over them. Frazier gone, Lagares gone. Put JD at 3rd and Nimmo in CF. Cano can kick rocks on the bench.
