There is a massive gap between Syndergaard requesting Nido (who he clearly pitches better to) and "anarchy" lol

Exactly...I actually don’t think it’s that big a deal Noah wants to have a personal catcher when he’s on the mound. Plenty of stud pitchers have gotten that type of treatment overt the years.

What’s the big deal in just timing Ramos’s two days off he gets anyway with Thor’s turn to pitch.

I dunno man, you don’t need to be an Einstein to figure this out and where everyone gets what they want.

Okay, maybe I was a little over the top.....but my point was that players should "never" be able to dictate a damned thing. Requesting is one thing (and I question that, simply because it became public) but that is what makes this whole thing a bit......ummmm, "questionable".

Far from anarchy, but could lead to it somewhat. One leads, other follow. When a player becomes more than the sum of its parts......well then......

Ruh oh. Gary calling 2 outs when there was 3. Starting to lose it a bit, much like Sam Rosen not knowimg off sides from icing. Lol.

Got ourselves a good ole fashioned pitchers duel tonight. Definitely has an October playoff type feel.

We'll see who the first one to blink is.

Hoping Jake can make it thru 8...he's got a decent shot with 86 pitches with one out in the 7th

And there my friend.......might be the REAL problem within. No one can figure this out, without it becoming an issue?

I know he was Greg Maddux, but the dude had a personal catcher too, and Javy Lopez was quite the player at the time.

Glavine, Smoltz and anyone else they had were fine with Lopez, but not Maddux.

If a Hall of Fame pitcher can get a personal catcher because he can't throw to the other guy, Syndergaard can get one to help him out, especially when you need your starters to pitch long in games with this bullpen.

Rajai comes through for the 2nd time for this squad. Amazed me that he was ever sent down for Altherr.

You can also tell the whole team likes him too. Common theme wherever he goes. They say the team is close, but for a guy who has been in AAA more than the majors, that means something.

Funny my daughters asked me earlier today what I wanted for my birthday which is tomorrow. I told them that they don't need to buy anything for me. All they needed to do was to root for the Mets to win tonight and tomorrow and than root really hard on Monday nite for the Jets to beat the Browns.

They both laughed and said that's it. Little do my two little ones realize how hard that will be...lol.

Well first part of the bday present complete. Two more to go. Huge win...huge huge huge!!!....

You just know that the last team the Dodgers want to see end up with that 2nd WC is....yup...you guessed it...the NY friggen Mets. They want nothing to do with us as they know if we somehow can eek this out and somehow end up in a short series with the Dodgers, they know we have the exact type of team that could knock them off and it wouldn't be a stretch to see it occur.

That's why it's do damn frustrating that we had such a bad start to the year and caused us to play catch up the rest of the way, cause this team is made for the playoffs. Oh well...hopefully we somehow end up pulling it off and if not, than next year seeing I really like the makeup of this team.

Criticize Brodie as much as you want for the Cano/Diaz deal and I guess you'd have to include the Lowrie signing tho there was no way he knew he's be hurt the entire year but pretty much everything else he did ended up being solid.

I love the core of the club and with a little tinkering here and there, we should no doubt be in the mix again.

Big game tonight. Mets will know all the results before taking the field.

Good news is Lugo and Wilson should be good to go. 7 from Wheeler and then those two to close it out.

If they waa any a shot after tonight, they'll need this one.

Still feel like the Nationals can be chased down by a team. That schedule is rough besides Miami. Cards, Phillies and Indians to end the season. Hopefully Cleveland gets back closer to be in it until the end.

At this point, the Mets probably have a better chance of chasing them down than the Cubs. What sucks is they have to leap two teams with two of the three they're chasing having easy schedules. I don't think it''s crazy to say the Mets can nab the Nationals in the standings yet not make the playoffs regardless.
