This was awesome what Pete did. As if we needed more reasons not to love the Polar Bear.

Seriously, not too many 24 year olds do what this kid did. He was just a little kid when 911 happened and was in Florida. But it meant something to him and I gotta admit, when I heard he went out of his way to pay tribute to the victims and families like this, it got me a little choked up.

Being from NY and having been working in Manhattan on that day, 911 takes on a little different meaning if you aren't from here. And for a kid from Tampa to do what he did to commemorate the day....man, he's a hell of a guy.

Mets are lucky to have him as are we....good stuff.

Just became privy to this. Howie is great! I rarely have the privilege to listen to him.....but this is undeniably great stuff on his part, not so much on MLB.
