Anybody count exactly how many times this team has been left for dead? I knew we had one more push in us......it's happening right before our eyes. More than a cats 9 lives. Cubbies are opening the door allowing not just our Mets through, but the Brewers as well.

This time, don't let up......not even for 1 game. Arizona will be desperate. Pay attention, play heads up winning baseball.

Expanded rosters in September means every team has like two dozen relief pitchers to work with.

Yup, save the bullets for the next game. No need to run him out there after that. Plus, their pen is much better than most.

With McNeil starting to heat up again, I would have preferred to give Conforto another game off. Now watch Michael go off and hit 2 homers.......

All in all, would prefer a more offensive team to outslug Arizona in a game where Stroman pitches. Dont trust him to keep them at bay and may be too late half way through the game with an inferior lineup.

Do like J.D. AND a suddenly hot Toddfather in at same time though. Get the brooms out please, and pitch a good game Stro.

I don't mind the lineup, but McNeil is killing the ball. Would have tried to find a way to sneak him in there. Conforto would have been my choice to sit again.

Actually unfathomable how we are even in this thing.

4 months of less than stellar baseball (I am being nice)
1 month of spectacular baseball after all-star break.

1. Pete Alonso keeping our attention through those 4 months.
2. deGrom being the Cy Young winner he is, helped.
3. Citifield becoming a "thing". A true home field advantage.
4. The tearing of the uniforms.
5. The "LFGM" mantra, initiated by whom else.
6. The 9/11 baseball cleats introduced by whom else.
6a. The solidarity that those cleats will bring amongst the team.
7. The "us against the world" attitude. Love it! Bring it on!

More exciting baseball is a coming! Who'd have thunk it?
Yes......we all did.......right?
We're Mets fans,
ya' ALWAYS gotta believe.

Alonso is simply a good baseball player.....all around.
He can only get better defensively with experience. Offensively? Hmmmm, if that happens, watch out MLB.

We have to be patient with this Young character. So far, we doing well at laying off that tantalizing curveball that is low and off the plate. (Alonso not so good....he was chasing).

Again, would rather have McNeil than Conforto today.....but that is just me and I LOOOOVE Michael.

Stroman has GOT TO keep that ball down. Was up and hit a little hard in 1st.

Your doggone right you pitch to Dyson with a base open and a man on 2nd. He is a 8th place hitter for a reason and get him out.....you start next inning with what "should be" an automatic 1st out.

I personally called the Mets' season over when they got swept by the Cubs. If they win today, I'm going to officially have hope again.

So.....once again an error opens the door. This time from a gold glover. Wow, we have some good karma coming our way.

I asked for 2 hits out of Lagares and Nido. Well, Juanito has covered that. Big time.
