Would have bet anything Juan would have gotten a back door curveball.....or at the very least an off speed change.

Hmmmm, what do I know? When I saw the catcher setting up inside for a possible fastball, I was like......r u kidding me?

Guess they thought Juan has no power. Thought wrong.

It's like living in the twilight zone right now. Scoring 6 runs off a rookie is what it is, but Frazier and Lagares driving in 5 of the 6 runs? These guys were being run out of town, and with good reason. Now, they're sparking the offense while looking for a sweep.

Can the Marlins at least take one of these games? I've seen enough from the Padres, don't want to push that. If they take this last one from the Cubs, the Mets might want to consider sending a gift basket out west if they get in over the Cubs

I personally called the Mets' season over when they got swept by the Cubs. If they win today, I'm going to officially have hope again.

I believe I was with you after that Cubs sweep. It just didn’t seem possible that they could recover from that but they did kind of sort of until they blew that 7 run 9th inning lead to the Nationals. Than it was “really” over as no way the Mets could come back from that type of devastating defeat.

Apparently the Mets didn’t think it was over seeing that they’ve gone after today 6-2 since that horrific 11-10 loss. I dunno man when your getting grand slam homers from the Juan Lagares’s of the world and you got Todd Frazier out of the blue with no warning whatsoever hitting bullets all over the field in clutch situations, maybe this Met magic really has some legs after all.

What I do know for sure is and I think I said it last nite is this Lazarus thing Mets keep doing coming back from the dead so much has a shelf life. If they are going to pull this shit off, no more 2 game losing streaks and forget a 3 gamer. They likely need to win 10 or 11 of their remaining games.

And oh btw, I’m starting to think it’s the Brewers and not the Cubs so much that might be our stiffest competition for that 2nd WC....they can’t lose while the Cubs are slumping at a real bad time.

We’ll see how it plays out...it’s been a heck of a ride that’s for sure

The Marlins are feisty. Surprised they didnt take one already, maybe today. Always behind in games.

Woooooohoooo, friggin Cano!

Juan again. Gary just talked about him never having a multiple HR game like 10 seconds before.

And as I type Nido goes yard too.

Yeah, double uggh. I get the "thinking" in having the best fielders in for a struggling pitcher, but even the best fielders cannot keep the ball in the park. He hasnt even been the ground ball pitcher he is supposed to be.
Lagares has been hitting better lately, so I guess I am okay with that......what I am NOT okay with is that slugging combo of Nido/Lagares, if we get 2 hits from them I would be ecstatic.

With McNeil starting to heat up again, I would have preferred to give Conforto another game off. Now watch Michael go off and hit 2 homers.......

All in all, would prefer a more offensive team to outslug Arizona in a game where Stroman pitches. Dont trust him to keep them at bay and may be too late half way through the game with an inferior lineup.

Do like J.D. AND a suddenly hot Toddfather in at same time though. Get the brooms out please, and pitch a good game Stro.
How you doin'?

Is Baez more important to the Cubs than Yelich to the Brewers?
This Grisham kid seems pretty okay as a replacement, albeit who knows for how long that plays out. But the Cubs also lost Russell. So......that might hurt them worse.

With you on that though, Brewers are looking like our fiercest competitor.

How you doin'?
HELLO! MY reverse jinx works yet once again! I am doing super ecstatic like! Thanks for the accolades and acknowledgement. Much appreciated!

Oh dont forget how I have dissed on Stroman, and Frazier prior to his onslaught. I AM THE MAN!

This Amazin' domination also coincides with me receiving a Patrick Corbin bobblehead doll via work (I'm in DC) and subsequently doing juju with it.

Not homers from Alonso, Conforto and J.D. But 5 from the likes of Lagares (2), Nido, Frazier and Cano.

Cano shouldnt even be back by now, Frazier has been totally inconsistent all year yet has 21 hr's.......go figure.

10 homers in less than 2 games.

Still think somehow we end up with 7 this game. Alonso and J.D. gonna get their's. Want J.D. to get his 20, then we will have 5 with over 20.......I think a Mets record. Cubs have 6, btw.
