This 7-1 lead after last night doesn't feel good. Should be sweeping this team and at this rate, have to hope they hold this lead and take 2.

Still feels like the season is lost.

For the Rangers and the NHL, it was the "dreaded 3 goal lead". For the Mets.......is it the "dreaded 6 run lead?"
Joking, but thus far.......a really good showing. Now finish it.
Ruh oh.......Familia. lol.

if you wanna relive last night

Forget the comeback, I'm looking at the photo and trying to figure out when Brett Connolly started playing MLB.

I think Lugo in the 7th, indicates that Callaway is "counting on" Lugo shuts them down for 2 innings AND.......AND counting on that we may be able to score a few more going into the 9th with a similar lead to last night. "IF" he has to........allow Lugo to negotiate the 9th? Otherwise, I would go with Wilson to close it.

Honestly, I looked it up but Amos Otis for Joe Foy was a pretty terrible trade.
Yeah, that ranks. Gave up on a SOLID CF for a "needed fix" at 3B, in which at the time......they never had.
Suppose they thought Otis would never hit, amounting to much. I was young and stupid, but even at that age.......I KNEW you needed a good defensive CF'er...........who in the hell thought Joe Foy was a Godsend, needed to have his head examined.

I get you. Happy to take series, but a sweep REALLY could have been had. We have had their numberand let last night get away. Scherzer side stepped a well deserved loss. deGrom averted a well deserved win. (Not based on his pitching last night, but overall.)

Really think the will go with Wilson to close this. Don't push Lugo (even though he is capable) just not used to it. Wilson has been amazing and has experience closing. He "should" be able to do this, especially with a 3 run lead.

I reiterate.......hey Diaz......learn the change-up!

Doo"little", not Do"more" attempting to excorcise his demons vs Mets. All I care about her in the 9th is Ramos 27th straight game with a hit. Conforto with a nice shot to left. Go Ramos!

Can't believe that Ramos didnt crush a pitch by Dolittle. He seemed defensive in that at bat.
Nice Panik.....hits lefties better than i thought.

Maybe it's payback for that Friday night at Citi when they came from 3 down, but it doesn't feel that way right now.

Beginning the road trip, anyone saying 4-2, they're happy. Last night doesn't make it feel that way. The two losses were excruciating losses.

With those clips......can u imagine this team with a "healthy" Yoenis Cespedes?

McNeil......3B
Rosario......SS
Conforto......RF
Alonso.......1B
Cano........2B
Cespedes.....LF
Nimmo.....CF
Ramos.......C

J.D. Davis at 3rd, LF......all kinds of flexibility playing McNeil anywhere and spelling anyone.
Lefty/Righty throughout the lineup.

I mean 4-2 would have been acceptable but they needed to go 5-1 or 6-0 to have a chance. It’s unfortunate but that’s the reality of things when you dig a 5 game hole and you’re suddenly competing with 3 other teams again too. 4-2 is good but doesn’t make up ground especially when the team you’re chasing has a relatively easy schedule.
