How do you throw a fastball in that spot...he's been hitting great all year...fouled off two near perfect fastballs to stay alive......sheesh!!!
He threw it right down the middle. Might have as well laid the red carpet down.

And there's no way you can criticize Mickey for this. Pulling Lugo was 100% the right move. If no one in the bullpen can lock down a 6 run lead in the 9th then you don't deserve to be in the race anyway.
It's a credit to the team that they were in the race with the worst 1-2 men out of the bull pen in MLB history.

In all of my years........jeez. Heartbroken and kind of feeling I wanna......well, u know.
Just seems every once in a while.......I bad mouth a team, and somehow they shove it right back in my face. Yeah, I bragged about us and ridiculed them. Bit in the ass, there literally will be no coming back from this loss.

And......once again, the un-luckiest pitcher ALIVE, gets yet another no decision. Wow, just wow.

hockey is all that matters ;) But this mets season was over when they got swept against the cubs at home. would have been nice to see both NY teams make the playoffs.

Lol I totally forgot about DeGrom in this game

Cannot believe what I just witnessed. I take the blame. I shouldn't have complimented the team for showing resilience and not giving up....yada yada yada.

Been a Met fan for 45+ years, this loss just might be THE worst of all or at least in the top 5 of devastating losses. And that's saying alot considering how many horrible losses this franchise has taken over the years.

This was gut punch beyond gut punches...I'm in shock!. Nothing left to say other than apologies my Met brothers for saying such nice things about the team.....good ****ing nite!!!
Not just you, i jinxed them as well. We are dead meat now.
If somehow not......talk about resilience.

So tell me, which team is actually a 1st place team? Outscored 17-8 thus far.
Multiple mental errors, bad defense, lousy relief pitching and lousy managing.
Go figure. Cant give those Metsies 4 outs nowadays.
Okay called 2 for Pete. Will accept 1, plus Nimmo's and 26 for Wilson. Nice.
Did I forget something? Oh yeah.....10 runs for a WIN for the unluckiest pitcher alive.

How is that for jinxing? Talk about snakebitten.

It's a trade we are going to be talking about forever. Every "Worst" listicle article ever is going to feature this one.

If there was a checklist to create the worst possible trade, every point was hit...trade away young talent, bring in a declining asset with a huge contract, add a player to who can’t be successful in a big market, have other players in the deal return to rival teams that directly end up being successful against your team...well done!

Oh boy.

Don't really know what to say. Diaz has the stuff and killed it last season. Now, he's a shell of himself. Have no choice but to run it back with him. He has the talent.

Also anyone that complains about taking Lugo out, it's a 6 run lead. Can't keep him out there. The pen has to hold that. The only criticism is to go to Wilson over Avilan in that spot. Either way, you have to get 3 outs with a 6 run lead. The season is officially over.

Only thing worth seeing is Alonso and if he can hit 50.
