I can't recall another right handed hitter who could crush low, outside pitches the way Alonso does.

So tell me, which team is actually a 1st place team? Outscored 17-8 thus far.
Multiple mental errors, bad defense, lousy relief pitching and lousy managing.
Go figure. Cant give those Metsies 4 outs nowadays.
Okay called 2 for Pete. Will accept 1, plus Nimmo's and 26 for Wilson. Nice.
Did I forget something? Oh yeah.....10 runs for a WIN for the unluckiest pitcher alive.

Whatever some may think of Calloway including me, as he certainly makes some curious decisions which make me scratch my head, this team in spite of him has shown a shit load of resilience and heart and I for one am damn proud of this Met team for not giving up which would have been very easy to have done after that Cub series....damn proud of them.

Oh and I'm comfortable enough in my masculinity to admit that I have a massive man crush for Jeff McNeil. This guy is old school thru and thru and my view he'd have no problem playing in any era and would be successful. He really has turned into a terrific player.

Just an incredible "wingspan" on his swing. He reminds me of Dave Kingman with that long, powerful swing.

Kingsy had a long reach indeed and amazing power as well...Alonso is definitely more "flexible" as he can reach balls Kingman never could.

Kingman kept his arms in a lot of times but he was such a huge man that his swing still reached the outer part of the plate. But yeah, Alonso reaches for 'em and his arms are always extended.

Other than Lagares this outfield has no range

Pitch had no movement. ZERO movement. Don't matter if it's 100 mph. Big league hitters will catch up to it.

Nuking them into the Sun might be too kind for the type of treatment this bullpen deserves.

How do you throw a fastball in that spot...he's been hitting great all year...fouled off two near perfect fastballs to stay alive......sheesh!!!

Thats some comeback and some blown lead all in the same game.Impressive Mets, quite impressive indeed.

Cannot believe what I just witnessed. I take the blame. I shouldn't have complimented the team for showing resilience and not giving up....yada yada yada.

Been a Met fan for 45+ years, this loss just might be THE worst of all or at least in the top 5 of devastating losses. And that's saying alot considering how many horrible losses this franchise has taken over the years.

This was gut punch beyond gut punches...I'm in shock!. Nothing left to say other than apologies my Met brothers for saying such nice things about the team.....good f***ing nite!!!
