no one is talking about Tauchman. Cashman found another solid starter level player for nothing.

How Jon? How would Stroman be a mid-rotation guy on this staff? His numbers as I mentioned earlier are better than our whole staff.

Where does Sevy stand in his recovery?
I dont see Severino making an MLB start until mid-late August. Leaning towards late August. He is still going through his throwing progressions on flat ground with Betances.

Yankees cannot count on them. They need to make their moves now. If Sevy comes back and can contribute its a bonus. They need to get an SP. I am greedy and say 2. Move Happ and CC to the pen. Add a pen arm too if the price is right.

Its time to put all the chips into the middle

Corbin has 1.84 ERA pitching at home. 5+ ERA away from home. Just saying.

Meh, Corbin had two bad road starts, they gave Happ a guaranteed two year deal for his age 36 and 37 season when his k rate was plummeting, and his fly balls were sky rocketing.

It was the most anti Yanks analytics signing they could have made, it made no sense age wise and stuff wise.

I look forward to the Steinbrenner excuses for not throwing the bank at Cole this winter.

I mean they have to go all in on Cole, no? Prolong the dominance of this group by solidifying the starting staff. They could have years of control on Stroman or at least another year of Bauer they would be adding Cole too.

Cole
Sevy
Tanaka
Stroman
Paxton

CC gone
Happ traded or DFA or Long Man in pen/Insurance
Montgomery - no idea where he stands
German - probably going in the trade for Stroman

There is no reason for them to be outbid for Cole this winter, and yet I’m in a see it to believe situation.

It made no sense to bring back Happ but Corbin isn't what you think he is. Imagine Corbin pitching half of his games at YS.

Now that rotation would be incredibly solid.

Sevy
Cole
Tanaka
Stroman
Paxton

Tanaka gone in a couple years, replaced by Garcia or another up and coming arm. And/or Paxton as the other guy gone if they choose to keep Tanaka around and extend him. At this rate its looking that way with how Paxton has been up and down. Lately down

Not on this staff. Mid rotation guy in general which is what Stroman is.

This offense has somehow hit another level.

They're not relying on the homer as much as they did the last two years and they're still scoring.

The injuries helped with that.

Also, I'd like to credit Ryan Ruocco, who is an absolute pleasure to listen to. Obviously very young in his voice and age, but harkens back to old-time broadcasters in that he's 90% about the actual play on the field, and not some interpersonal crap with the rest of the broadcast team.

A PBP person is so crucial. The quality of calls from Cone and O'Neill in particular so obviously driven by the individual leading the call.
