Billy McKinney is absolutely raking for the last 50 games between AA and Scranton.

in Scranton alone he's hitting .359 with 9 doubles, 3 triples, 9 homeruns, 27 RBI and an OPS over 1.100 in 28 games.

Thank you Cubs, the trade that keeps on giving.

Crazy if all he needed to regain prospect status was for his knee to heal up.

Swing is tailor made for YS too.

could you imagine if him and torres turn into all star mlb players?.. you got both, + a very solid reliever for 2 months of chapman, then re signed the guy. crazy.

Probably one of the best baseball trades in recent memories. Tanks got a bunch of great future assets and the Cubs got themselves their first WS in a century.

Big week for the Yankees against Toronto and Boston. Really need to start doing damage against division teams for the rest of the season.

They're probably both going to get traded.

I'd really like to see what McKinney can do in the majors before that happens though, even if its at DH this year.

They need Castro to take the time to heal up. Dont rush him back. They shouldnt have rushed Holliday back either. I get they were in a tough spot because the team had been struggling going into the All Star Break, but its hurt them in the long run. They can live with Toe for a bit longer.

Holliday, Hicks, Castro, and Bird would make this team scary good and deep.

Personally, I think they have missed Hicks more than Castro. I just hope that he comes back in pre injury form when he returns Friday.

I'm concerned that he's going to come back pretty rusty. That being said, they need his bat in the lineup no matter what with Holliday going back on the DL.

Rumors Frank Viola could take over for Warthen next year I think that would be a good move

I'd be down. Tired of the Collins/Warthen regime already. Add Ramirez to that list. It's the same thing every year, have players with a lot of potential but are very flawed in some way and then the injuries start. I've been bringing this up for years here but stop being Yankees light and build a team full of defense/speed/small ball like the Mets were when they won two World Series instead of these feast or famine players. I'd take a team full on 9 David Ecksteins who walk and tire pitchers out than these wanna be 1980s power hitters.Cespedes is nasty when he's healthy but he's also a coaster and it's a problem to build an offense around him.

As for Viola, good dude, local product. He was pretty good on the Mets his first few years. It's just funny how essentially that trade with the Twins for Agulerria and Tappani is a huge reason why they won the 91 World Series (in addition to the greatest modern pitching performance of all time by a 37-year-old pre internet, pre athlete kale and quinoa diet Jack Morris) so it would be cool if he could do some nice things here and that trade could come full circle.

It's rough being a Mets fan because they've never really had a 5-10 year run of dominance or consistently being in the post season even during the "Golden Era" of the 80s, just 1-2 appearances with each core. It's a shame they didn't have the Wild Card in the 80s because odds are the Mets would have made a run at least once in 84,85,87,89,90.

Yankees even playing the wild card game would be a win for this young roster. They're 1 to maybe even 2 yrs ahead of schedule

The Clint Frazier train was fun while it lasted. The team badly needs Hicks back in the lineup.
