watching this tigers yankees game right now, Jordan Zimmerman is literally Derek Stepan if Stepan chainsmoked and drank like a fish.

Satan himself looks at Ellsbury and goes "damn I wish I was that much of a detriment to joy"

Time for Judge to sit down a game or two and get his head together.

He's swinging at god damn everything like he was last year.

No one talks about his speed, its the most underrated part of his game. He might have 80 speed or at least 75. Watch him be the SB leader for the Mets at the end of the season after only playing two months.

>Infield consists of 3 SS and an outfielder
Gary/Keith/Ron: "This is the best infield defense the Mets have fielded all season"

Maybe a little early but Yankees announced postseason ticket pricing.

http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/ticketing/postseason_pricing.jsp

My bleacher seats only cost $24 for WC and ALDS, $44 for ALCS and $87 for World Series. :) No price increase for next year either. I wish the Rangers would take lessons from the Yankees in not trying to milk every last dollar from us.

The Yankees tried that when the new stadium opened. Then the market bottomed out and they got 25K attendance every night.

3 errors in the 1st inning alone in the Yankees' new pitcher's debut...can't make this **** up

The Yankees are a bunch of fundamentally atrocious hitters that are completely incapable of scoring without hitting homeruns, led by a manager who only cares about homeruns.

Clint Frazier looks like a wonderful hitter so far but it's only a matter of time before the Yankees machine sinks its teeth into him.

DFA?? The word is the Mets will bring Cabrera back next year as a cheap 3rd base option

You like Cabrera's play this year? He's been awful, and then that trade request where he has the nerve to request a trade because he's awful at SS, and the team wants him to play a position that he's better suited to play? :help: The market shut him up, no one traded for him after his trade request. Look at his contract, as well. Why would we pick up his option? Makes no sense financially. I don't think there's been a Met in the last 10 years I've liked less than Cabrera, I'd have DFA'ed him the second he requested that trade. Liability to the team, in every sense.

But you are right, I saw that article. I hope it was just floated by Cabrera's agent, and isn't something coming from the Mets. I'd like to think Alderson is smarter than that, maybe Collins floated it himself. I'd absolutely DFA Reyes or Cabrera for Smith right now. Smith is ready, the other two are free agents at the end of the season, need the space. Reyes is the lesser performer, but he's also not such a liability in the clubhouse, like Cabrera is. Tough decision which one to DFA, so thats why I said "or", as I wasn't sure. Neither should be on the team next year, although Reyes as a back up SS, I could somewhat tolerate, given Collins isn't the manager, and someone who's not going to play him everyday is managing the team.

It's a long season of ups and downs. You don't get too high after a solid ten game streak nor do you get too down after a rough three or four game stretch. The Yankees aren't going away, and if they get in all it takes is a few guys getting hot and you can find yourself in the WS.

I really want Baltimore to grab one of those WC spots and then win the game. They got all kinds of **** for being buyers instead of sellers and now they've run off a decent streak to get back into it. Would make a good story.
