I'd hit the bargain bin if I'm the Yankees. I'm not dealing away any serious prospects right now bc I don't think this team is there yet...

I'd save my pieces and see what arms are available in the offseason.
 
Bartolo Colon is going to shutout the Yankees..

Judge looks lost, they need to give him a couple days off or something.
 
Am I hearing this right? Frazier is going to the Chi Sox for Robertson if the deal happens? That's an insane overpay
 
LOL, I guess the Yankees are GETTING Frazier from the Sox. Sterling's head is gonna explode
 
Read an interesting article on 538 earlier that argued that the only teams that should actually be buying are teams that already have legitimate WS aspirations. Teams that are a player or two away should buy since the additions only move the needle so much.

Torres and Rutherford was what one of the writers threw around. I could see one but not both. I would be shocked if Rutherford isn't gone. If he is the Duda thing is likely over because the Mets wanted Rutherford and Rutherford only
 
Rosenthall tweeted 10 min ago that Frazier, Robertson, and Kahnle to the Yanks for prospects is close. I don't love it bc they probably overpaid to beat out the BoSox.
 
I think this is a bad move by Cashman. Even if the Yankees somehow got out of the AL how the hell are they beating Washington or LA with their pitching

It's not going to be Torres, that writer is an idiot.

It may be Rutherford, that would be awful as well.
 
No pitching, Judge can't hit a beach ball, soon to be 500 record and Cashman decides to go after a bunch of washed up guys?

Ya, we're gonna give up a piece we won't like to give up.

Just seems pointless.
 
Robertson and Kahnle are not washed up and Kahnle is only 27 and got his career on track in Chicago. Is our best bullpen arm

Frazier struggled early in year but has been looking decent and will provide Yanks power

Yanks are certainly looking like a lock to win division. You guys should be happy as some franchise's (Like White Sox) rarely are in position to do what your doing and if you make it to show anything can happen in short series

Lock to win the division? They're nose diving to the basement and about to get shutout by a 44 year old right now.

Neither Robertson or Kahnle are washed up, they're both having great seasons. Frazier sucks, but he isn't the part of the deal that is going to cause the Yankees to surrender a big piece (look at what JD martinez just went for, hes much better than TF.)

Its just an unnecessary move right now that looks even worse if they give up one of their better prospects (Rutherford or Florial.)

This isn't the year to make moves..

And if you were going to move Rutherford, why not trade him for Gray or Quintana?

One of the biggest steals in that draft is now gone.

Terrible if true. Cashman trying really hard to lose the goodwill that he's accumulated from me recently.
 
It's Randy Levine's influence. Hes the same clown that pushed hard against moving Chapman and Miller last year.

This move is so unnecessary and while I think Florial has certainly passed Rutherford on the prospect list (as far as the lower level guys go), he still holds a significant amount of value, enough where he could have been a piece for a starting pitcher this winter.

This is just stupid.

**** Levine if he's the reason this trade is happening. I'm getting sick and tired of his shtick as is.

At this point, I hope this is just a big time rumor, or an MRI failure makes this trade void.
 
Also Kahnle has been nothing much before this year. If this is just a fluke season this deal could look real bad in a year or two
 
There was no point in trading away Miller, the best reliever in baseball, to make essentially the same style of trade for worse relievers less than a year later.
