Nice job Betances and Chapman. Really earning your paychecks lately. This bullpen is a bigger dumpster fire than a Staal/Holden defensive pairing.

The pen has been garbage now for a few weeks.

It was supposed to get better once Chapman got back and everyone else "slotted back into their roles" but there's not a single reliever on this team that isn't pitching like complete crap. They all deserve to be going into mop up duty.

On the bright side, all our young prospects are looking dang good and Severino and Montgomery are turning into good pieces.

What an unbelievable meltdown. Bullpen lets them down once again and Gardner with the cherry on top for the final out.

Yeah, the future is looking brighter and brighter but right now, I'm leaning much closer to selling then buying at the TDL. Last July was a great start but there's still a lot more to be done. I'd be taking a good hard look at what Gardner and Pineda could potentially bring back. We all got super excited at the hot start the team got off to but the last few weeks has put a huge bucket of ice water all over that.

Maybe I'm just extremely pissed off right now. Still got a month to right the ship.

What is there even to sell? All of our decent players are young/in their primes. Sure, sell if you can find a taker for Ellsbury and/or Headley, but that's about it.

Gardner, Headley, Holliday, Pineda, Clippard.

Gardner and Pineda would be the two best trade chips. If CC comes back and shows he's healthy, a team could take a flyer on him. Give Clippard to any team dumb enough to take him. I'd listen to offers on Betances - assuming he gets back to dominating in short order.

I just feel like this team is more than one starter away from being a serious contender. If they have to stay in a holding pattern and reassess in the winter - fine. I very much admit my anger could well be clouding my judgment right now.

I'm 50/50 on sellers v buyers. If I'm selling, it's for futures.

If TDL comes around and you legitimately think you have a chance, buy. No matter how bright the future looks it's never certain.

Me too. Relievers rarely stay in peak form for more than a few seasons and they carry an insane amount of value at the deadline.

Return anything similar to Miller and I'd drive Betances myself.

I love Betances but you gotta be smart and ruthless.
