deGrom over his last 4 starts: 4-0, 32 IP, 31 K, 0.84 ERA, 0.69 WHIP

And when people were like 'zomg we gotta trade him'

I'm like F outta here ... he's the best pitcher in NYC period. If the Yanks Mets did a trade, I'd give the Mets anything outside Gleyber, Judge and Sanchez for him.

Noah's better than him, but deGrom shouldn't be traded.

We have two aces, deGrom is very reliable, two bad starts is not even really worth discussing.

We should extend deGrom, not trade him.

Noah's got better stuff, but deGrom is just so dang consistent (even with that stretch a few weeks ago)

He's a stud. So jealous of you guys :handclap:

Good thing the Mets have so much depth with guys like Harvey, Wheeler, Gsellman and Montero.

I know the numbers look bad because of two terrible starts where Collins left him in way too long and of course he got injured, but Wheeler's been good this season. I don't think its fair to compare him to those three who've been batting practice for hitters. deGrom's numbers didn't look too good either after his two terrible starts. Even today, I know you want more innings, but he didn't let up any earned runs, and the team won.

First MLB hit (2B + R scored) for Clint Frazier in his MLB debut. Man that bat speed is sexy AF. I can see why scouts like him.

Grand Salami for Didi ... dang this Yankee team is dangerous with all these young stud hitters.

We aren't blessed with depth at SP like the Mets. It's basically Severino and Montgomery and that's it.

This group reminds me of Generation K. They haven't all fizzled out but it's the same situation where it looks we have a ton of depth and before you know it you don't.

Wheeler has been thoroughly mediocre. Harvey and Gsellman have been trash. Montero isn't even an ML-caliber pitcher. The "great" depth the Mets had was all based on hopes and speculation.

I want to Montero tomorrow in a game with "semi" pressure pitch well. So far his only 2 good ML starts were September of 14 when the Mets were out of it and last week vs a bad team coming off a brutal series which felt like it ended their season. If he can come out and pitch well tomorrow I will be impressed for the first time with him

Mets got lucky today with wind shift following the thunderstorms. That ball in the 9th is long gone prior to to the rain delay with the south winds

I like Wheeler. Would you ever do a Gardner for Wheeler?
