That's an amazing contract. Corbin makes 140 over 6 years and Sale is twice the pitcher.

It would be huge for the Mets if Vargas could have a good season. Especially given I'm not sold on Matz in any way, and I don't really like our depth options. I still think it's borderline negligence that we didn't sign Gio Gonzalez. It's like, has this organization not learned its lesson on actual rotation depth?

Because they’re only going to carry 4 bats on the bench (1B, IF, OF, C) and LeMahieu is the IF (with Bird & Voit both making the cut).

Don’t necessarily agree with keeping that many pitchers myself, but that’s the rationale.

Wade not making it isnt a big deal to me, he could always be called up.

I wasnt really serious about the Revenge thing. Maybe just his own revenge for people doubting him? Idk again wasnt trying to start some debate about it, just messing around.

Totally okay with that contract. He's 30 and I didn't want to go past 5 years. Will be very happy to have him around, though.
