Depending on where the Mets are in the standings, they could look to deal Colon at the deadline. If he producing there could be teams lining up for him.
Trade him to LA for Kemp.

Have you seen Dodgers rotation? Why would they trade for another starter? Why would they trade Kemp?
Teams like Rockies, Angels, Orioles and Jays will probably chase Colon is they are in contention come deadline. All of them could use pitching. Rockies have a good farm system.
So far, the Rangers are 3-1 in the playoffs when the Mets have lost and 0-4 when the Mets have won. The won win happened on a Sunday afternoon game before the Mets were able to finish their game.
I'm only half kidding when I say i'm convinced that there is a correlation between the Mets' success and the Rangers'.
If the Mets could generate consistent offense, they'd be true contenders for a playoff spot. They could also use an arm or two at the back end of the bullpen. Hopefully, Black and/or Thornton should be able to help soon.
If Drew is still on the market after the draft (and the Mets are still above .500), I wouldn't be surprised to see them give him a deal.

if he will bite on a 1 yr deal i like it. 2 years and im not sure. dont want to give up any picks so need to wait till june anyway.
organizationally, we have no one else ready yet. a 2 yr deal would work if the numbers were good.
drew would settle that position for 2 years.
i dont see anything else as an option right now ?
Wilmer actually looks like a legit SS in Vegas. So I wouldn't be surprised of they just pass on Drew altogether.

I don't know Jon. Gary and Keith were saying basically the opposite this weekend.
Ehhhh I don't know about that. You're the first person I've heard say anything about his defense at SS other than "it might be good enough if he really hits."
Mets up 3-0. Not looking good for the parameters I set (Rangers win Mets lose, and vice Versa). 7-1 correct under those parameters.
Hey at least your theory was disproven today. They both lost. So you got that going for yourself.
As far as I have read, his range and defense are average. He truly is an "if he hits, he plays" guy. However, he's definitely able to play second, I'd say.
