Sucks for Laggesson but that's a funny situation for Marner.

Guess it helps when the score was that tilted.
Playing with 5D would be extremely taxing for the D so it's a good move especially in a lop sided game. There is also a day game Monday so perfect situation to do that.
Playing with limited D isn't unique to Keefe either. I remember a game with the Marlies Keefe had to run 4 D for a lot of the game.

Matthews on part-time #Leafs defenceman Mitch Marner:

"He looked right at home back there (chuckling). Just some of the plays he was making, some of the passes … it was like he was playing there his whole life. He’s incredible. He does it all for us."

Is this the game day thread,? Ive done a significant amount of legwork to bring these articles with authors who've spent a significant amount of time to research this topic.

I'm doing this in response to posters who just keep saying OMG Marner assisted to Matthews OMG,!

Yet these posters don't want to discuss these articles with the advanced stats that say otherwise?

Why because they can't argue it! The advanced stats tell a different story.

Just keeping everyone honest here. And keeping the truth out there. I'm convinced that Marner has some hired muscle on this board.
So you just want to argue? Keeping everyone honest?????
Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha .......

Despite all he does, he’s still unliked by many Leafs fans.

It would be good to have a friend like Auston. Even though 16 has been holding him back all year, he still can't find it within himself to just say the truth that every LeaFlander knows about MM.

Also because teams generally resign 100 point players if they can?
That are also former Selke nominees, you don't see that combination very often.

He had a slow start, he isn't batting down pucks as often in past years, but he's been playing great hockey for a while now, his attention to detail apparently alludes the less sophisticated posters, but the pros get it.

There's even a team that will do so no matter what the cost. ;)

Let's hope he plays great hockey in the playoffs when it really counts, and not just the first 4 games either.

The advanced stats say he didn't have 2 assists last night? I don't think that's true
