Mitch Marner "waiting for something good from you" edition part III

In all seriousness. How does Babs golfing when the season is over create bad culture?

Everyone, no matter what the circumstance is entitled to time off away from the office.

I don't remember the ins and outs of this story, so that's why I am asking

That’s Babs golfing is ref to him flying to meet with AM right after the playoffs to make amends. It was said to be in his schedule…but how can it be in his schedule bc the leafs should still be playing in the playoffs. That’s why, it is pretty much accepted he flew to Arizona to talk to AM and smooth things over.
It had nothing to do with doing stuff on off days.

Now this makes sense. I do recall this.

I am not sure why almost no one in the organization can be forthcoming.

Or why they treat their fans like they are idiots and can't put 2 and 2 together.

Exactly, just come out and said there is some misunderstanding between players coach, which happens all the time, and move on from it.

I swear every time I see Marner with the puck, we end up losing possession from either trying to be too cute or easily getting pushed off the puck. I wish our coaching staff and management would stop coddling our star players, and maybe actually demote them down the lineup or scratch them for poor play.
 
tavares looks worse than marner honestly. hes being paid practically the same is our captain. wheres his thread? lol

Is this all that Marner's defenders have lately? Deflect and try to direct criticism to other players?

Lets simply compare point totals between Tavares and Marner to see who's actually doing something. Tavares has 3 points and Marner has a garbage secondary assist.

Tavares is returning from a freak accident last season. Where's Marner's excuse?

I actually believed that Marner would be back to producing when Matthews returned, it seems to be now that he is effectively neutralizing Matthews.

Split them up, try to at least salvage Matthews.

LOL marner defenders? news flash genius, just because marner is playing like ass doesnt mean he deserves all the blame. people are so ridiculous, i have to be a marner defender because i pointed out some of the stupid hypocrisy on this forum. sorry but hockey is a team sport, every should be accountable. sure hes got 3 assists, have you seen him play a good game in the past year and a half? marner has been very bad, so has tavares, and for alot longer.

It's probably Bozak's fault. Oh wait he's gone. Maybe it's Babcock's fault. Wait he's gone too. Maybe it's Dubas's fault. More in line but not all of it.

Tavares is slow sure, but he's actually doing something. That's all I have to say to effectively neutralize your crappy argument.

By the way, Tavares actually has a goal and 2 assists. Not 3 assists. Nice try.

I've maintained this regular season means nothing for me. my mind on marner can only be changed if he picks up his playoffs game. like most repeated failure's, it's caused by deficiencies, it's not just the end result that isn't there. this is entertaining to witness, I must admit. If a grea regular season keeps this guy around, then him struggling so bad could lead the ultimate dream of him being off the Leafs.

If one player has to win us games, we have problems. Tavares actually tries while golden passer is useless.

He won't. I've never been more convinced that a player is empty calories than marner. he will continue to put up season points but in the playoffs he will keep getting pushed around.
