I know what you mean, when I suggested MM for Eichel would be a good hockey trade for both teams it was not received well and booed .
There was a point last season where I posted something like the Marner vs Eichel debate seems to be over, Marner is clearly the better player and I think almost everyone agreed. Amazing how quickly things can change.
I didn't. Your reading comprehension is a bit problematic. I gave context and you provide 1 game. Like I said...8 goals for 5x5 and 1 ga. Highest differential on the team that series. Also the highest xg%.
You keep trying to prove he is garbage until you suck up mid next season next year to sing his praises when the crowd shifts like you always do. You have zero credibility.
Keep saying one game as if it's nothing. It was the biggest game of the year and Marner looked like a child who simply didn't belong on the same ice with the grownups. That one game told me a ton about Marner, if you can't see it or you choose to ignore it, that's fine.
I've never tried to prove anyone is garbage, I've never said Marner is garbage and I'm not saying he's garbage now. When you resort to these ridiculous strawman arguments you're showing everyone you have no arguments left.
If Marner plays well next next season I won't mind saying so but when people like you start bragging about how awesome he is, I will remind you that it's only the regular season and playoffs are what really matters. That's me anyway, you're already building statues for him and labelling him an all-time great and if playoffs don't matter to you, that's fine.
Marner was so good for such a long period of time that I really believed his days of sucking in the playoffs were over, then came game 3 against Florida. I made a note to myself - don't be fooled again. Marner can win me over again, I'm always open to that but I don't care what he does in November or February, he's going to have to do it in the playoffs.
