To Toronto: Jack Eichel
To Buffalo: Mitch Marner

To Toronto: Seth Jones
To Columbus: Morgan Rielly

Eichel - Matthews - Robertson
Hyman - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - Foligno - Engvall
Spezza - Brooks - Mikheyev

Brodie - Jones
Muzzin - Holl
Sandin - Bogosian

Ya might have to get the other teams to agree lol. Unlikely

I can't believe we have an 11m cap hit for Marner right now. Guy is a 7-8M player.

Don't care how many points he racks up in the reg season, he is just a one dimensional pass only player.

Don't care that he kills penalties, you can usually sign guys that do that in the offseason for 1-2M and bury them on your third or fourth line

The amount of comical errors from him I can't imagine star players like Crosby, Mackinon, and Kane making.
The only thing Marner is "making" is more $$$

Why is he so indecisive? Dude is a deer in the headlights out there. No wonder teams can focus on Matthews. There is no other threat on that line. Soft.

And Point makes what, 6.5 million in Tampa? That's what really kills me, he couldn't hold Brayden Points jock.

Both are more than realistic IMO.

Marner is owed substantially less than Eichel coming off a better year and can be the franchise player they need. Jones doesn't want to re-sign, Rielly may. He also brings offense they need

Someone should ask him when he’s ever been ready to start a game.
Bro I hate hearing that excuse. From ANY player league-wide.

You're a professional player paid MILLLLLLIONS.

The fact he (among others) goes to it all the time is so annoying. Like tell your PR people to help you.

He more than most of our players really care about the fanbase and all (esp being Leaf fan young) so his perception among fans has to remain top. He wants to play on Leafs fans emotions, but boy, you better get to scoring in playoffs right quick.

Or Eichel's well enough to play but he's never as good as he was and we lose Marner.

Marner will always be special during the regular season. He and Matthews have a connection and Matthews would be worse off without him.

If I'm the Leafs, keep Marner but know that in the playoffs, we need to find another way. What that way is... I don't know.

Matthews needs to also accept his share of the responsibility. He had 3 points in one game, got a phantom assist in another, and worthless thru most of the rest.

LOL, we lose Marner...we have Marner now and he's doing jack squat and costing $11 million on the cap.

Only 6 players in the game make more money than Marner. Let that sink in.
He can still be worth it for us but this whole playoff disappearance act he (among other LEAFS) pulls has to be fixed. His whole pass-first mentality DEF needs to be tweaked. He is TOO predictable.

He's a great player. A real talent. It's just a shame the way the game is officiated truly in playoffs that some players get turned off. It's a shame it has to be players that went TOP5 or TOP10.

Playoffs is when it matters. We don't need Marner to make the playoffs, but we need more than what he's bringing to win the Cup.
I have been following the Eichel neck story more than most and it's... complicated. If I'm the Leafs, I don't make that trade.

Nah, I don't care about the regular season. It's easy to put up points in the regular season, just look at McDavid. Couldn't do anything against WPG. His season means jack shit now. Same for Marner.
It's not easy.

Anyway, it's a moot point because Marner is not going anywhere.

Sometimes in playoffs star players dont show up for a round and others step up, then they advance, then next round star players produce.

Maybe Leafs can pull that off. So far Spezza, defense, and others have produced.
