But he only said he wasn't ready for the start of the game though...![]()
Someone should ask him when he’s ever been ready to start a game.

To Toronto: Jack Eichel
To Buffalo: Mitch Marner
To Toronto: Seth Jones
To Columbus: Morgan Rielly
Eichel - Matthews - Robertson
Hyman - Tavares - Nylander
Kerfoot - Foligno - Engvall
Spezza - Brooks - Mikheyev
Brodie - Jones
Muzzin - Holl
Sandin - Bogosian
I can't believe we have an 11m cap hit for Marner right now. Guy is a 7-8M player.
Don't care how many points he racks up in the reg season, he is just a one dimensional pass only player.
Don't care that he kills penalties, you can usually sign guys that do that in the offseason for 1-2M and bury them on your third or fourth line
Both are more than realistic IMO.Ya might have to get the other teams to agree lol. Unlikely
What are ppls thoughts on that puck over the glass penalty that Mitch took tonight?
Bro I hate hearing that excuse. From ANY player league-wide.Someone should ask him when he’s ever been ready to start a game.

You're a professional player paid MILLLLLLIONS.

Or Eichel's well enough to play but he's never as good as he was and we lose Marner.LTIR.
Eichel for Marner makes a ton of sense for both teams tbh.

Marner will always be special during the regular season. He and Matthews have a connection and Matthews would be worse off without him.
If I'm the Leafs, keep Marner but know that in the playoffs, we need to find another way. What that way is... I don't know.
Matthews needs to also accept his share of the responsibility. He had 3 points in one game, got a phantom assist in another, and worthless thru most of the rest.
He just had his best season. Again, be careful what you wish for.LOL, we lose Marner...we have Marner now and he's doing jack squat and costing $11 million on the cap.
He can still be worth it for us but this whole playoff disappearance act he (among other LEAFS) pulls has to be fixed. His whole pass-first mentality DEF needs to be tweaked. He is TOO predictable.Only 6 players in the game make more money than Marner. Let that sink in.

I have been following the Eichel neck story more than most and it's... complicated. If I'm the Leafs, I don't make that trade.Playoffs is when it matters. We don't need Marner to make the playoffs, but we need more than what he's bringing to win the Cup.
It's not easy.Nah, I don't care about the regular season. It's easy to put up points in the regular season, just look at McDavid. Couldn't do anything against WPG. His season means jack shit now. Same for Marner.
Sometimes in playoffs star players dont show up for a round and others step up, then they advance, then next round star players produce.Playoffs is when it matters. We don't need Marner to make the playoffs, but we need more than what he's bringing to win the Cup.
And, to his credit, he finished 4th in scoring.Only 6 players in the game make more money than Marner. Let that sink in.
It's not easy.
Anyway, it's a moot point because Marner is not going anywhere.
