Interesting option, but I’m not sure if Kingston would do that deal, and I don’t think Mississauga covets Roger. Kingston isn’t expected to make a run for it (and assuming Wright comes back the expectation is that he will be traded for picks to help with a rebuild) so trading one OA for two OAs seems odd. Enright is also expected to be back in the line-up soon. He has been out with an injury.

Struthers and Cooke could be used to add to a trade, though I suspect Mississauga tries to hold on to Cooke. Struthers on the other hand should ask for a trade as he is playing every other game on the 4th line and needs TOI. Maybe the crazy GM in Niagara will trade for him? 🤪
Kingston has an open OA spot. They may want to use that to stay competitive after unloading Arcuri, Hache possibly, and (Wright if lucky). I don’t know if either team would want that deal, but I think Richmond would make very good use of Roger.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the reason the potential trade occurred to me was that Richmond might care to see both Callahan & Uberti stay in the league.
The crazy GM in Niagara unloaded Enright, Struthers, & Cooke on Missassauga for the very few disposable picks the team had to use this season. Maybe Miss can send Struthers back 13 months after acquired from Niagara.

You make some good points. My view is that Richmond is very loyal and will keep Callaghan, his assistant captain, and not see Roger as much of an upgrade.

I suspect he’s on the hunt for a solid 04 or O5 D to pair with Enright on his 3rd line. If he can trade Uberti for that, he will have shored up his D — currently the weakest leak on a team looking to contend — and stretched out the remaining tenure of his D core.

Will be interesting to see what happens, and nice to see the moves being made to contend.

Most Niagara fans will not complain if that happens.

It seems VonRichter has secured a spot on the 3rd pairing

Enright and Gordon are injured.

Top 5D - Del Mastro, Larsen, Callaghan, Sharpe, Enright. This I think is pretty clear.

When Gordon and Enright return from injury (and Enright is expected to play next weekend) Von Richter will battle for 6th, but I suspect that will be held by Gordon or a new D from the Uberti transaction.

Von Richter and Harding will rotate in to cover for injuries, suspensions, etc.

Really happy with how the team has been shaping up recently, obviously the collapse yesterday can't happen again but it's still an early season learning experience for the team.

Looking for a bit more for from Hardie but I am sure the points will come for him

I think they led 5-2 after 50 lol

Tough loss but a fluke and I’m sure they learned some lessons
I dunno, seemed like a fluke for both teams…

Barrie opened the scoring about 6 mins in and 11 mins later Mississauga was up 4 to 1 near the end of the first.

Barrie switches to their #1 to start the 2nd and Barrie takes the period 1 to 0, with the score at 4 to 2.

Third period Barrie takes as well 4 to 1.

So is it a fluke that Mississauga scored 4 in 10 mins in the first, or a fluke that Barrie scored 4 in 6 mins in the 3rd?

Larsen played Fri and Sun but Uberti played Sat. Seems like JR is giving them a chance to earn the last OA spot?

No. Larsen was signed as the fourth OA and will be staying. Uberti is the odd man out and has to be moved by the deadline.

Uberti is being given an opportunity to stay warm / play in front of teams or scouts that may have an interest or haven’t seen him play. Nothing more.

Agreed, especially with Hull moving on.

too bad. I would rather watch Uberti.

Chazz Nixon up from the OJHL Jr. Canadians while Leenders is away.

Richmond's kid took the rookie lap, centering the 4th line between Struthers and Binnie.

EDIT: I don't think they even saw 30 seconds of the first period.

its wierd how they never played forgione but also never asigned him to a lower level? just left him to rot?
Elite Prospects has him with the Jr. Canadians, 4 GP to date. Harding was also there briefly (0 GP).

5 out of 6 points on the weekend, Beglieri had to be a tired guy, I was wondering if he'd get all 3 starts with Leenders being away. Good to see Veccia snag a goal, hopefully it opens the door for him going forward. Nice to see the effort today with the three in three schedule and two on the road. They were in control for most of the game but never had a lead until they won it in OT.

Watching the Petes top line throw the puck around tape to tape with blind passes had Sweet Georgia Brown running through my head. A Harlem Globe Trotters reference for those not of a certain vintage. They make scoring opportunities look easy.

Ottawa coming up, will be interesting to see how Sauga responds, hopefully they can shore up some of their def z coverage.

If I'm MISS I'm offering KGN a trade of Beglieri+3rd+5th for Zhigalov at the deadline. I think KGN would do it with a very limited import goalie market
I agree, Beglieri hasn't been good enough and frankly looks awkward in net. Might be the only/cheapest way to upgrade in net as well.

They definitely missed Larsen yesterday. Anyone know why he was out? And why they wouldn't have put in Uberti if Larsen wasn't in the lineup? Their depth forwards didn't show much and could have used the boost in the bottom 6
