I don't know if Carlyle is the perfect fit right now but I think he'd get the best out of our forwards. Hard to judge him because that cup team in Anaheim had two hall of fame defensemen. IIRC, he rolled two scoring lines and a checking line predominantly.

I just heard J.S. Giguere interviewed. According to him, Carlyle has a great defensive system, but this Leafs team wouldn't buy into it.

I don't think were gonna have less points than the Oilers, Hurricanes, or Sabres. 4th is probably the best/most likely if I'm trying to be positive.

I think Arizona is & will cement themselves in the top 4 soon with some trades. I think 5th is still best case scenario. Carolina's really the only team I can see improving as they have Staal back & should be getting healthier as the year goes on.

Yeo is one guy who maybe rivals the incompetence of Berube... my brother is a Wild fan so I watch maybe 30 of their games a year and he is not only rubbish but also boring.

I think maybe I am being too harsh on him though, him being such a boring coach makes me think worse of him than I probably should.
