It's seriously like talking to a brick, except the brick listens exactly as much but doesn't say stupid **** back to you.

I really wonder if people are truly that stupid or if they pretend to be that stupid just for trolling purposes.

Hockeystreams is awesome. The possibility to switch between the Bruins and Canes feed... Its like heaven and hell. First, you hear the Canes announcers (whom I consider ones of the best) who have no problem complimenting good plays by the other team (quite often too), then you hear Jack Edwards being Jack Edwards.

and Jack Edwards isn't even the most annoying idiot calling Boston based teams.
Just listen to Scott Zolak call Patriot games for a little bit. sounds like a guy calling high school football games acting like a clown.

Carolina just beat Boston and are now only 7 points behind us! The return of Staal might just get us that higher pick.:naughty:

Edmonton has to win a game eventually, right? I wonder if they'll go on a mini win streak at some point. It'd be great if both Carolina and Arizona can pass us, plus I don't see us catching any of the teams ahead of us right now.

Better than that, they donkey punched the isles,Carolina wins,Columbus wins. Little worried about Colorado. they better not get dumb ideas in their heads. And Ottawa will be angry after losing 4-2. And we play them next. Keep your fingers crossed.

Was just about to post that

Plot twist: they're actually beating the Islanders. If only that Flyers vs Islanders thread hadn't gotten locked last night...

 Why are they only 4 feet apart? The goalie was practically in position to stop a shot from either of them.

Holy ****... he got fired and not Berube... what the **** is up with this world?

Toronto is the center of the hockey universe and a pressure cooker. Carlyle got a lot of flack last year when the Leafs took that nose dive in March, losing 12 games and putting them out of the playoffs. I don't think it's his fault, altogether, he's tried to impress they play better in their own end, even making changes to the system (and Kessel balked and wouldn't adjust, he's basically a very talented 'I" player who doesn't see beyond his own needs and has been a problem for every coach he's played for)
It's easier to sacrifice the coach then 23 players. But Nonis and SHanahan won't end it there. The Leafs have no leadership, that's been visible for some time. The players are too selfish, won't commit to playing team defense and it's a bad mix.
They need to make some big trades and get some better 2 way players who are team playesr with leadership
And Babcock is a guy they will target, since it's not money (Detroit offered him a boatload and he hasn't agreed) he wants more empowerment in player and personnel decisions which Holland won't give up.
He'd be a good fit there, the right kiind of coach and a part of him would love to be the GM that finally got a CUp back up there.
I think they will trade some big names over the summer and restructure
Carlyle is a good coach and will land on his feet.

I don't know if Carlyle is the perfect fit right now but I think he'd get the best out of our forwards. Hard to judge him because that cup team in Anaheim had two hall of fame defensemen. IIRC, he rolled two scoring lines and a checking line predominantly.
