Kadri has 10 points already in these playoffs. That's as many as he had in all his post-seasons with the Leafs combined.

I don't think just getting a better goaltender will be enough. They will still be a one line team. It's easy for teams like the Bruins to overpower them with their depth.

I never got the Carolina hype. They had a nice run last year but never saw them as an up and coming power house like the media makes them out to be.

I wonder how much svech being out hurt them. Pesce was out. Plus they have more young guys that will be good and some good picks this year I think. Obviously that D is amazing.

Carolina needs to focus a bit more on that forward group instead of picking up every available dman they can get their hands on. And the goaltending of course.

I think Svechnikov has the potential to be a star in this league and Aho is a fine top line center. But I don't see a playoff caliber 2nd line player on that team. Niederreiter seems to be the same underwhelming player again he was in Minnesota and Staal is past his prime.

Carolina needs to focus a bit more on that forward group instead of picking up every available dman they can get their hands on. And the goaltending of course.

I'm okay-ish with the forwards. Aho is a 1C, Staal and Trocheck are probably 3A/3B at this point. Teravainen is one of the more underrated players in the league. Necas will hopefully improve on a good rookie season. Svech is Svech. Nino started out here so great and then the wheels fell the f*** off. Williams may retire, so we definitely need another top six winger or two.

But yeah, they picked up Skjei and I'm still kind of baffled by that. You already have Slavin and Gardiner as established NHL players, then Fleury and Bean up and coming. That just creates more of a logjam. TVR, Edmundson, and Vatanen are all UFA, so we'll see if any of those guys get re-signed. I wouldn't be shocked to see a guy or two traded, too.

My wishlist for this offseason is a good goalie and somebody that's a true pain in the ass to play against. We haven't had a guy like that since Scott Walker. Him punching out Aaron Ward then scoring the overtime winner in game 7 against Boston in 09 will be with me until the day I die.

Entirely correct. I would have played TB/VGK/COL, but the odds were so short that they weren’t worth plays. To bet a Colorado, you would have to be in the -250 range.

I don’t think the Caps are very good. I just also don’t think the Islanders are either. The Stars are good. I’m still happy with that one.
