There are some good starters on the market this summer: Holtby, Markstrom, Lehner, Crawford

The Canucks are in cap hell, the Hawks are practically in a rebuild, the Caps have their goalie in waiting, and Vegas still has Fleury.

I could see the Canes going after one or more of these guys.

I don't think just getting a better goaltender will be enough. They will still be a one line team. It's easy for teams like the Bruins to overpower them with their depth.

I never got the Carolina hype. They had a nice run last year but never saw them as an up and coming power house like the media makes them out to be.

I'm at peace with it. Boston is a terrible matchup for us. I'm still excited for the future. Svech/Aho/Teravainen/Necas are all super skilled players. Pesce/Slavin are fantastic, hopefully we can re-sign Hamilton for something reasonable. The only question mark is goaltending. Mrazek and Reimer are fine in the regular season, but both had baffling moments in the last couple games.

And we got a really good pick from Toronto. We'll see what happens there, I know there's some Russian kid who is supposed to be a great goalie, I wouldn't be shocked to see them grab him, if he's available at 13.
