Berube playing Binnington was a head scratcher at the start and in hindsight looks way way way rose.

On NBC, they were talking about the “analytics” maybe saying to start Allen, but you have to go Binnington because he was your guy last season and has been in these big moments before.

The “analytics” were one goalie has a 1.86 GAA and .939 save % in 4 games these playoffs. The other had a 4.27 GAA and .862 save % in 4 games and lost every one. Jake Allen had a good regular season too. I’m not saying one or the other guarantees anything, but HockeyGuys can’t help themselves sometimes with the touchy feelys. He’s still Jordan Binnington, not Carey Price. 3/4 of those goals tonight were W-E-A-K.

Remember last season people were saying binnington was a better goaltender than Hart? Funny what one calendar year can do

Jordan Binnington is Jim Carey and I will stick with that until he's out of the NHL. My guess is within 4 years.

Frankly I'm a bit bothered by it. I highly dislike Mike Milbury but that's a harmless remark and one that shouldn't lead to someone being fired. We live in a very PC culture now and I don't suggest people using twitter and etc. these days.

Check your privilege dude. It's not a harmless remark when you're reducing half the population to an "icky body part" that serve as distraction from the important work of men. Why it's remarkable that anything ever gets done by men who aren't incels.

Oh please... check my privilege....

Do you actually live in reality? Last time I checked the human race still existed due to the sexual nature of things. The guy said roughly "because there aren't any women here" not "grab them by the p***y" or "treat em like hoes" or etc. Frankly that was an actual problem with Richards and Carter but yeah ok.... professional male athletes don't go chasing women. Or... Jeremy Roenick. I swear some of you live in an alternate reality.

As far as rude comments go the one Mike Milbury said of Tukka Rask was far worse but you don't hear the PC culture chiming up about that. That's the comment that should of gotten him fired.

Women know sex sells otherwise there wouldn't be a SI swimsuit edition and etc. Hell one of the women complaining about the comment essentially auctioned herself off for superbowl tickets. Sarah Spain - Wikipedia

Why is it up to you to decide if his comment is offensive? Where do you get off telling women what they have to accept? The f***ing swimsuit edition is for men created by men.

Imagine dying on the hill of defending Mike Milbury. Don't bother responding you can go on the ignore list.

I’ll respond to this but not because I don’t care about your ignore list anyways. You didn’t respond to a single point i made which is what I figured you would do.

Because at some point a line needs to be drawn in the sand? I guess all the women in that magazine are just artificially created.

Probably hard for you to wrap your head around but I’m not defending Mike Milbury I’m defending the idea that not everything is offensive and that some people need to grow thicker skin.

While I hate Mike Dingleberry and do not condone what he said.....thinking suspension would have been more commensurate with the offense. Anyway, guy is a douche...so no love lost.

Reading through a thread on the History forum, Los Angeles only used their first round pick three times in their first sixteen seasons. The firsts they traded in the 70s and 80s were used to select...

Reggie Leach
Dick Redmond
Steve Shutt
Andre Savard
Mario Tremblay
Ron Duguay
Ray Bourque
Phil Housley
Tom Barrasso
Ed Olczyk

And two of the seconds they traded to MTL in that same time were used to select Larry Robinson and Claude Lemieux.

I know, hindsight again, but holy hell

well he has said some shit in the past and while that comment wasn’t that sensitive maybe NBC just does not want to deal with him anymore.
