Then that’s bullshit of the league to get him suspended.

Did you actually hear what he said? It was an insanely stupid and pointless comment that added absolutely nothing of value, just like most everything else he says. This time though, his stupidity offended and hurt many of the women who are currently working in the bubble, and some of them were very outspoken about it. There is literally no chance NBC can ignore this. He's a goner. Good riddance.

To be honest, I think he was joking that the guys are distracted and not that women are being distracting. I don’t think it’s gonna alienate anyone from watching a single hockey game.
I’m all for him getting fired though. I think his Rask criticism was much worse.

The world needs to stop being so sensitive & seeking to be offended & victimized. People are hypocrites. Every one of us has made jokes worse than that at some point in our lives. Enough with the constant outrage & finger-pointing & trying to get people fired. Society needs to thicken its skin & quit with the cancel culture.

Ahh, so now we're trying to tell women what they're allowed to be offended at. Got you loud and clear.

I’m reading that Milbury is not gonna be on tonight’s broadcast. In his apology and NBC’s statement they didn’t say he’s fired.

I’m telling everyone to stop being so sensitive & to quit it with the cancel culture.

This is a little different than the out of control cancel culture we've been seeing. This wasn't a case of someone digging up something he said 20 years ago and ruining his life over it. This is something he said now, that negatively affected a group of people in the industry now. Telling women who have worked in a male dominated field and have spent their entire careers putting up with mansplaining, unwanted advances, and straight up sexism to "stop being so sensitive" is a bad look. It doesn't matter whether you or I think his comments were offensive. If it was offensive to them, then it was.
