See, now that's been an interesting trade piece for a while. But it would be tough to take the place of Braun, Risto, or Seeler on a top defensive squad. And he cost less than a 2nd rounder, and that's a no no.

Pretty cheap acquisition. Vancouver media has been talking about Bear for weeks, so it's not too surprising that this deal was finally made.

He'll get an opportunity with the Canucks. The right side of their defense is mighty thin, so much so that Luke Schenn is getting top 4 minutes with Hughes out.

*Note: Hughes doesn't play the right side, but the point is that Luke Schenn is being relied on for 19+ minutes a night in Vancouver these days...

The Canucks have some real issues, but they now have three RHD I would take over Risto. Myers costs more, but only has this year and another one left.
