Poor Flyers don't even get a mention

Penguins win. They move ahead of the Flyers on tie breaker.

By percentage points, the Flyers currently sit out of the playoffs. But they have the tie breaker over the Islanders.

Lolz I was joking at home they would blow the 4:1 lead
And they did. Just surprised they got the game back. Honestly satisfying despite it's the f***ing Pens

I don’t know how anyone on here can be anything other than disgusted seeing the Penguins back in the playoffs.

I'd rather it be Detroit, but I think it would be hilarious, after the shock and awe media assault about the Flyers New Era of Orange Playoff Spectacular, just for Pittsburgh to pass them after trading Guentzel, while everyone was composing dirges the last few months.

I said this a couple weeks ago, but the Flyers and Penguins have the exact same underlying stats this year at every strength.

‘’It’s just part of the growth of a thoroughbred. You want to let them grow a little bit, but you’ve got to reel them in. The whole game, I’m like, ‘Boogs, reel Simon in.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m on it! I’m on it!’”
It’s a process.
“That’s all just part of the growth and learning,” Lalonde said. “This is why you want to put these guys in those really, really big situations. Playing last year at this time is a lot different than playing this year at this time, where every play and every puck matters.”

This is a quote from the red wings head coach on playing edvinsson down the stretch. Something we have never really done with young rookies. Our coaches would say "he made a turnover, bench him".

Teams that decided their year was dead and sold major pieces are right back in the hunt because of this playoff hunt where everyone sucks
Pens will 100% lap us on a genuine rebuild before this stupid Org. even figures out saying "we are rebuilding" doesnt = actually rebuilding...

would you rather have them in the playoffs or in the lottery with the chance for the #1 overall pick?
its not about the Pens being in its about forcing the Flyers out. and perhaps just perhaps this Org. ACTUALLY embraces a true rebuild..

but they wont...

And even Stone wasn’t really a rental trade.

You can like the quantity offered, but Carolina did this without even a 1st rounder (or recent 1st round player) in the trade. Ho hum. I wonder if Carolina finds a creative way to keep him.
Apparently he followed several local luxury homes accounts on Insta, so here's to hoping.
