Hyman is going to be just like Ponikarovsky, Stajan, Grabovski, Bozak etc etc.
Dime a dozen guys that played in our top 6 because we didn’t have anybody else and then completely failed when they left the Leafs.
I’d be pretty surprised if he’s in the NHL in three years.
How did Tampa justify losing to the 16thish team in Columbus? Thumbs up
Think up some bizarre hypothetical then use the phantom scenario to prove you are a reality expert. Sigh...so let me recap. If the leafs won a few rounds, the next year finished with the best record ever, then got swept by the Blue Jackets… this fan base would be ok with that?
LAUGH OUT LOUD

We would say "That was a one-off bad postseason" as opposed to "THIS HAS HAPPENED FIVE YEARS IN A ROW!!!!"So the leafs go to the conf finals. Everyone’s excited. The next year they get 128 points. Everyone’s over the moon. They play Columbus and get swept.
how does this fan base react? Pls explain this to me.

Not irrelevant, but not worth much if the player can’t perform at that level and above in the playoffs.Regular season awards, irrelevant, right?
Bozak had 13 points in 26 playoff games for the Blues on their cup run, I wouldn't consider that a fail.

also bizarre hypothetical? This literally happened dipshit
He was hurt last year and not up to form this, plus his linemates were dogshit. He was a great player for us, that’s kind of why he’s going to get paid. “You guys” need to pay attention, nobody is saying he’s the most important player, but he’s a great piece for a winning side.
Yes. It happened to Tampa. Not to us. We haven't won a playoff round in 20 years. So therefore it's a hypothetical scenario.
But just to play ball with you. I am sure that if that scenario happened to the Leafs, obviously fans would be pissed. But if they had previously won playoff rounds in years past, there wouldn't be as big of an overreaction as there would be ATM.
Lol. So you're saying we'd all be angrier if we won 4 playoff rounds the previous 3 years? What the hell are you talking about about?lmfao sure you would.
Do I really have to edit all of your posts due to not reading them properly? LMFAO.
Guarantee the isles sign him on a good contract number.Hyman would fit like a glove in the New York Islanders' lineup.
Ya it’d be bigger.

I honestly can't even follow your "logic" on this one... You seem to be under the impression that leaf fans get angry when they WIN playoff rounds. But it apparently needs to be explained to you that it's LOSING playoff rounds that is making us mad.
They all signed for those amounts before the playoff success is the point. You scream playoff success is the only thing that matters then point to regular-season success as an indicator of how good Tampa players are for their price when it fits your narrative.. interestingNot irrelevant, but not worth much if the player can’t perform at that level and above in the playoffs.
Tampa had the best defenseman in the league and best player in the playoffs for under $8M. Kucherov and Vasilevsky also had strong cases along with Point for the Conn Smythe. Stamkos was injured but he’s played well in the playoffs for most of his career.
Hard to see how the Leafs can compete with this.
Let me guess you thought he was a third round plug for two years under Babs? Probably true last year, he shouldn’t have been out there.14 points in 32 playoff games. Also, how long does it take to get going? If he was hurt still, he shouldn’t have been out there in the first place.
Why are you asking a Senators fan?so let me recap. If the leafs won a few rounds, the next year finished with the best record ever, then got swept by the Blue Jackets… this fan base would be ok with that?

So managment should be excused from the conversation? I agree 100% its on the players but, at what point do you trade one of these guys if they're not getting it done.
