I won't be concerned until there is something to be concerned about. Thus far there has shown nothing out of the ordinary, especially considering he and MANY OTHERS were permitted to play in both the US and Canada without a VISA entirely just last season.
You keep referencing last year but that is so different than this year.

You're just trying to search for something to be concerned about when at this point there isn't really any reason to be concerned.
If something comes up that looks concerning, then worry about it.

I'm sure they're going to work hard on the power play in training camp, as you know it didn't work very well last season.

It will be built around Zuccarello, he's a pp specialist and has a ton of experience compared to the other guys. I think he'll be more involved in the construction of pp units, and assist the coaches.

Zucc had 28 ppp in 70 games last season, Kaprizov had 31 ppp in 81 games. No other player is anywhere near these numbers, closest is Ek and Fiala with 17 each. So Ek should be in there, same with Boldy, and Spurgeon of course. Hartman had 8 ppp in 82 games...meh (kudos for playing a full season).

It will not be built around Zucc, but he will be a large portion of either the 1st or 2nd unit for sure. Maybe if they move him to a 2nd unit.

Idk how you can think they will base the PP not around our best offensive player.

You mean it will be based around Kaprizov? I just hope Zucc shoots more when he is in a good scoring position. Seemed like last year he was always looking to pass which makes the PP to predictable.

Damn it is really hard to get excited for upcoming season after they lost second best player. Their goalie tandem is worse. Still should make it to playoffs. Don't you all think it's time to inject some youth talent into the roster?

Of course we do, they injected Boldy, Duhaime and Dewar. Rossi has every chance to make it this year. Plenty of prospects should be knocking on the door next season and making decisions difficult for BG.

I asm looking forward to seeing Rossi play in the NHL at some point this season, Boldy's and Dewar's progress, how Addison's play fits onto the team, and our new, young backup goalie.

Losing Fiala is a downer, but it's done, and getting two prospects in return that project to be top of the lineup guys is exciting.

On the down side, I don't expect Hartman, Zucc and Foligno to match career highs. Watching Goligoski will be downright painful- I can't imagine what he will be like in year two of his contract.

Like he's capable of playing for the Gophers again? :sarcasm:

Honestly, I'm as excited for this season as I was last. I didn't expect the Wild to be as good as they were, so maybe that can happen again. If it doesn't, that's fine, I have other things I care about, too. Even if the Wild are still as good, I don't expect them to compete for the Cup. It's a fairly flawed team, even if parts of it are really good.

I don't like the Defense. Can't even imagine what it will be like if Brodin is out for any extended time- say he gets suspended for swearing too much on TV- Fleury scares the shit out of me, too.

Part of me wonders if we are going to see The Wall sooner than we expected.

If he does well and our goalie tandem gets injured or falters no reason not to throw some games at him.
If Gus is out, do we try starting Wallstedt over Fleury? That’s what I’m wondering, cause I can see both sides of the argument.

If he looks good in the AHL, then why not give him a few games? I don't believe he is eligible for a contract slide.
