Huh, I wonder if that was Tool that didn't want phones out, or if it's a venue rule. Either way, glad they didn't boot you in the end!

It was Tool that had that rule, not Target Center. To be fair, they did have signs all over the inside of the venue on the seat backs. However, my friend and I didn't come in until after the lights were down and I couldn't see them. :DD

The new Timberwolves owners later purchasing the Wild would make it easier for both teams to one day split their home schedules between Target Center and Xcel Energy Center.

Since I believe the NHL will go to an 84-game schedule soon, this means the Wild can evenly split their 42 home games between both venues.

Meanwhile, the NBA will remain at 82 games, so the Wolves would only play 40 of their home games between the venues, 20 at each one. The 41st game would be at US Bank Stadium, against a popular opponent, with a seating layout similar to when the Final Four was held there.

So...you think they're going to spend millions to convert the Target center so that it can house a hockey rink and keep the ice cold? Just so they can split time between two places. Who has ever done this? No one. Why would anyone do this? They wouldn't. Ever. There is zero reason to. This makes zero sense.

Target Center already is capable of hockey games. They've been a site for sectionals for high school for years... that would just be a shit venue for NHL hockey compared to the X.

Oh, you know what? Come to think of it, I did actually go to a game there once. Think it was around '97. After the Stars were gone and the Moose left for Manitoba, they [The Moose] came back and played another IHL team there. Might've even been an exhibition. So, IHL exhibition...borderline beer league event. Totally forgot about that.

Regardless. My original point being, the idea of the Wild even playing there, much less splitting time between the two arenas is ridiculous.

Wasnt the epic Duluth-East vs Apple Valley 4 overtime state final held at Target Center?

5 overtimes, but yes. ;)

Nope, correction. That was the last year at the Civic Center... didn't move to the Target Center until the following year.
Saturday when Dwyer’s slapshot gave the Eagles a 5-4 victory at the St. Paul Civic Center.
Just doesn't look like classic Civic Center since the clear boards were replaced with traditional ones when the Moose played at the Civic Center from 94-96.

Every time I see Merrill without his helmet I think he just walked out of this video.

I knew the second Talbot let that turd in from Leddy it was going to be a looong night.

Ugh. What an absolute tire fire of a performance tonight by our "comeback kids". I am disgusted that this is the way this season ends.

Depleted defense in the game 4 and a home game in game 5 would've won the series in 5. Legit teams win those two games. If we couldn't, tonight was a foregone conclusion.

So many things wrong with this roster if they want to win in the playoffs. Only tougher from here.

Unless Boldy can be Fiala and Rossi can be Boldy as soon as next year, expectations are definitely decreased. Playoffs extremely questionable. Before, we could at least say that our defense was too good to crater. That ain't the case anymore.

I know it's not realistic, I know guys have NMC/NTC, I'm neither asking nor advocating for it, but here is my list of players that need to be back next season:

Kaprizov
Boldy
Brodin
Ek

The rest can stay or go, doesn't matter much to me

I’d greatly enjoy the greef line being broken up a getting a coach who tries to make Kaprizov our team identity rather than a checking line.

Edit: actually enjoyed dewar quite a bit he can stay also.

They're not close and there's three years of cap hell. This team won't be a serious contender for years, and there's basically zero shot Kaprizov signs another contract here. I feel like I'm just kinda done seriously following this team. I don't want to be, but there's no hope here IMO.
