He does know how to get past the 1st round and win G7s.

It would be shocking to me for MN to get rid of Evason with his new extension and the overall season MN had.

this is by no means a sexy roster but this is what im expecting to see going into next season.

I’d be shocked if Rossi doesn’t make the roster out of camp, especially over everyone on that 4th line.

They'll probably still make the playoffs. Kaprizov will be better next year, his linemates might regress from their output (though maybe not as Kaprizov will be better).

I don't think Rossi is in competition with the 4th liners or GREEF line for a roster spot.

His competition is for the 3 open (relatively) spots on the Kap and Boldy lines. So Hartman, Freddy G and the spot that opens up when Fiala is traded.

You heard Guerin, his plan is to include Rossi next season. He'll probably try to play him between Kap & Zucc.

But...is Rossi better than Hartman?

Hartman is a good player. There's a reason he was a 1st round pick.

I wouldn't touch the chemistry that line had from last season. Maybe Hartman even does better than this season playing with Kap, who knows.

It would be asinine to stick Rossi on a purely checking line

But for how long until he wants to leave because of the otherwise garbage team?
 
I don’t even want to try next year. Going to be the same old crap most likely until we get a 1C. Just stuck in the middle and we’ll miss out on the big 3 in next years draft.
 
I wish I knew exactly what it was Suter did that was so atrocious that Guerin thought of him as a cancer. He will never air that dirty laundry though. Would love to have been a fly on the wall though of that mess.

Maybe if I talk to my BIL about it he might still have some contacts from his days in the AHL that he might be slightly privy to what exactly Suter did.

Because Suter was a solid defenseman for sure, despite his apparent character flaws.

There is zero chance the Wild tank. We're too good to tank and not good enough to bring home The Hardware, as usual.

All that matters to me in the near future is that Kaprizov NEVER leaves this organization. I'd like him to be this organizations Ovechkin: only wears one jersey his entire time in the NHL.

Yeah I saw that when it dropped. That was what I was sort of alluding to. Guerin must have really found his behavior reprehensible to have created such a cap mess of it.
