Coolest season is the right translation of what he said btw.. nothing wrong about that. This forum slashes any positive view of things with a hockey stick to the throat.. it's hilarious.

Two of these three trades don't need to happen. There is zero shot that Guerin is going to blow a chance at the playoffs by trading Dumba and Greenway for three 2nds and two 4ths.do to guerin cap h3ll my plan (assuming we cant keep fiala) trade fiala for top 10 pick (weak draft) plus prospect then trade dumba for 2 - 2nds & 2- 4ths or better then trade greenway for a 2nd (or 3rd) and build team for 4 seasons from now. (3 cap h3ll seasons). let judd work his magic (forget guerin, another worthless rookie gm) hey CL , need a new gm im available!
I get that, he is certainly not doing any favor to Zuccarello.Nah. It’s just a bit of annoyance with the source.
Your grammar may not be perfect all the time, but it's better than some native English speakers', and your perspective on the information is always welcome! I, for one, am glad we got some context on that quote.I get that, he is certainly not doing any favor to Zuccarello.
But as usual, the "source" had it wrong. Zucc did not speak to the media and made excuses for him self. He was a guest in a Norwegian TV studio, who commenting during intermission in WHC final between Canada and Finland. And just chatting with his former team mate and good friend Bonsaksen and the program leader. They did not talk much about Wilds post season. When asked about if he considered to play for Norway at the WHC, he said he was thinking about it, but then Norway saved their buts, and was not fighting relegation, so they did not need him. And by the way, he will have groin and abdomen surgery next week, he said. And then there was the disappointment of how the Wild season ended.
When asked about who the best player he played with in his career(this where questions send in by audience of the final), he answered Kirill. And when asked about the best he played against he said, I can't go wrong if I say Crosby? In both categories he said there where many great players. But Kirill was the best and he was exited to play with him.
Hope some of this make sense. I know I have a bad grammar and it can be a struggle to explain something in English

You really shouldn't call me a liar.
I reported his medical status, after he decided to make it public. And this information is 100% accurate.
It also tells you that he played with a fracture in his leg, which explains why he was slower than normal in the playoffs. It's not about making excuses, those are simple facts.
And when it comes to this TV show you're talking about, yes he talked a lot about his season, and especially his close relationship to Kirill, on and off the ice. Playing heavy minutes in the playoffs and thinking about going to the World Cup, despite his health issues, should tell you something about his commitment to both the Wild and his national team.
He averaged 37 seconds per game more in the playoffs than the regular season, and his 5v5 time was actually down, from a shade over 14 minutes in the regular season vs. ~13m 15s in the playoffs.
what about games 1-3?22:03 in game 4, 19:33 in game 5, 20:47 in game 6. That's not bad with a broken leg...

Russo said:Evolving-Hockey has Middleton projected at less than a million on a two-year term, $1.123 million on a three-year team and around $1.5 million on terms of four, five or six years.
Russo said:Jon Merrill got hurt minutes into his tournament debut at the world championships, and I get the sense it was a significant injury. So if there’s a chance he misses the start of training camp, the Wild may want to hang on to Kulikov. Or trade him and sign a free agent, maybe bringing back an Ian Cole or somebody of that ilk.
Russo said:I think it’s absurd how many days off the Wild had. They had three practices post-trade deadline, and Fleury was at two of them. Goalie coach Freddy Chabot did get time before and after skates to work with both goalies, but that’s hardly practice. I also think it’s part of the reason their special teams stunk and players like Kulikov had no clue who to track at times on backchecks and in the defensive zone. These guys never got reps. It’s like everything was done through video coaching. Take the Blues: Even if they don’t practice, they have a full morning skate each day, where they work power play and penalty kill with Berube on the ice. Evason never goes on during optionals, and even if the Wild have a full day off the day before, they hold an optional morning skate rather than a mandatory skate. That means you can’t work on special teams fully. I think this is one area that must change if the Wild want to improve their special teams.
Maybe it's already been covered, but I'm curious to know if the lack of practices was a year long thing or it was just during the compressed second half of the season. Which doesn't excuse it, but it was probably a factor in trying to keep players fresh when they were playing every other day for two months straight.Ask Russo, part 2: Contract projections, coaching adjustments, and does Fleury re-sign?
Also in Michael Russo's mailbag: Could any of the team's top prospects be in the lineup full-time next season?theathletic.com

That last point... Wowzers.
i know he always had morning skate as optional as he stated he hated it as a player and doesnt think it is necessary. as for the 3 practices i cant comfirm that at all.Maybe it's already been covered, but I'm curious to know if the lack of practices was a year long thing or it was just during the compressed second half of the season. If Evason was doing the same thing early on, that's more concerning.
Hopefully those contract estimates for Middleton come to fruition. It was ridiculous to see $3M+ estimates for a 26 year old rookie.Ask Russo, part 2: Contract projections, coaching adjustments, and does Fleury re-sign?

I should note that Russo put an asterisk shortly there after saying if he’s gonna be asked to play top 4 then those estimates bump up a little bit.Hopefully those contract estimates for Middleton come to fruition. It was ridiculous to see $3M+ estimates for a 26 year old rookie.

If he wants more than $2M on a 2-3 year deal, I'd be fine with just the QO (I think it's an option).
UFA (Group 6) vs RFAI've had him in the $2m-$3m range for a 2 or 3 year deal. It falls right in line with the deal Soucy got as a 26 yo after 1 season.
If I was Middleton, I wouldn’t mind taking a smaller cap hit on a 2-3 year deal if it meant I was getting Top 4 time next to Spurgeon. Can’t imagine he’s going to find a better opportunity to prove his worth. It’s just hard for me to believe that a Top 4 defenseman was sitting in San Jose’s system for 4+ years.I should note that Russo put an asterisk shortly there after saying if he’s gonna be asked to play top 4 then those estimates bump up a little bit.
Honestly, I think their current talent level is close to it what it was when they had Sakic, Forsberg, Drury and Yelle as their centers (aka, when they won their last Cup). This team would have gotten swept by Colorado by a combined score of 29-2. They’re a f***ing machine right now.
League min is his QO. If I'm Fletcher I'm giving him an OS for 1.35m x 1 just to stick it to the team that fired him. That is no compensation and Middleton is a UFA after the season.
and some wonder why we've never been a contender. gms are more worried about saving their jobs and STH rather than building for the long term (win now). give judd every chance we can to hit a homer while we're stuck in cap h3ll. ps your saying dumba & greenway's production isn't replaceable? i think addison & deslauriers could fill most of it way cheaper. Two of these three trades don't need to happen. There is zero shot that Guerin is going to blow a chance at the playoffs by trading Dumba and Greenway for three 2nds and two 4ths.
