I dunno, to me, it just sounds like your regular frustration. Now I don't agree completely with what he said (you can't just "trust" - losing makes that hard so its a vicious cycle) but it doesn't sound like he's pointing any fingers

That said, I'll point the finger. It's Dean's fault - as a manager, its your job/duty to make sure this type of frustrating environment doesn't come up to boil. You address problems earlier on rather than let it fester to 9-10 games where all of a sudden, it feels like jobs are on the line.

I actualy don't agree. Playing with trust and confidence and togetherness is extremely key. This trickles down in towns of really nasty ways if you don't do this.

I don´t know. Maybe Dean can do a Yeo, or he can invite them all to a party with the wives and parents.
All things considered I think it´s a good thing to mix things up a little. Make everyone think about their ways, cry and yell a little and then come together as a team.
Something´s gotta give

When Evason puts Zucc on the 2nd PP unit you know there's something going on between those two. Zucc is definitely good enough to stay on PP1.

Evason is also going to run PP1 without a d-man. Are you kidding me? The coach continues to hurt this team imo.

Chill. It´s not the end of the world to for him to play on the #2. Why should he be entitled to first unit? Doing it this way maybe gets him going and score when he jumps in.
Why is it so important for an individual to play in a certain spot? I don´t get it.
Team is nr 1 always.

Judd Zulgad called Kaprizov and Zuccarello the new Parise and Suter. lol...give me a break. But Judd later said he joked about Kaprizov.

Zucc says they're working too hard. Even if that were true, at the end of the day, it's still NOT working. So what is his solution? What does he want? For the coach to keep everything the same, while continuing to dig a deeper hole? Or for the coach to move around everyone else but him and Kap?

Changes had to be made. I don't see Hartman complaining about being moved, and if anyone from that top line has the right to be upset about it, it would be him. He was the best player on that line.

Perhaps I didn't word it correctly but didn't mean imply something else. I just mean I didn't Zucc was popping off Evason's comments. And playing with trust and togetherness is key but if you are losing, it can make it hard so it is vicious. My stand on that is that its the Head Coach that should be coming into to foster that cohesiveness. But if you change nothing, nothing changes. Trust and confidence isn't going to magically come back.

Zucc on his own is definitely good enough - Zucc with Kaprizov is not. At least not during this current moment. It's clear IMO that they are trying to make each other better, but as a result, they pass up good offensive opportunities to just pass to each other. I remember, it was probably our 3rd game this season, they made 3-4 cross ice passes through traffic in a row during the PP in the offensive zone, like what are you doing?

They have developed some bad habits relying on each other and need to be separated. I think Johansson is a goodpair for Zuccarrello, a more straight-forward direct player with speed that doesn't mind just getting a shot off from a playmaker like Zucc. Hopefully, that will open his eyes a bit.

And I don't mind running PP1 without a d-man in the context of our team. Addison is our best offensive PP and he clearly isn't a consistent contributor on that unit, I haven't looked at the stats but I'm pretty sure we are bottom 5. I don't mind trying a forward over Brodin/Faber, I think that is reasonable. And a reminder: I'm a Dean hater but this is a change I don't mind

Fire DE and have Walz be the interm head coach. It's worth it just to get Walz out of the booth, and it basically makes him unable to be rehired for any job with the team after being the coach.

Kills 2 birds with one stone.

I’m not overly worried about Gus. You still see Bogtime talent with him. It’s not like Dubnyk or Kahk where you could just tell the guys weren’t good. I think he’s going through a tough stretch, all goalies have them, and it’s being amplified but the lackluster overall team play in front of him. I think he’ll snap out of if.

Dean is just doing what he’s always said he’s going to do: reward the players that are playing well. Regardless of the record, I actually think he’s growing as a coach. He’s been reluctant to actually follow through on that idea previously.

I’ll be real for a second. Zucc has been bad and he definitely has deserved a swift kick in the ass in terms of a demotion. But we all know people are hitting these opinions harder because Webster can be rather unbearable with his pro Zucc propaganda he says on these boards.

Is Merrill banged up, or just scratched? Big if Dean decided to sit him due to poor play. I never thought he would do that.
