They are front office mouth pieces , how amazingly disrespectful to the fanbaseLatest podcast by Russo and LaPanta was interesting. Both of them ripped on fans who want Johansson scratched and put some inexperienced kid on the 2nd line
true but the wild scouts SOKK at picking / drafting DWE NEED TO DRAFT DEFENSE !!!
wow marjo shouldn't even be on the team let alone playing top 6.Latest podcast by Russo and LaPanta was interesting. Both of them ripped on fans who want Johansson scratched and put some inexperienced kid on the 2nd line
I'm fine with Wally staying in Iowa longer. I don't want him being feasted on with the defense and overall group of guys that'll be playing in front of him next year.Something else you'll love. Russo said he thinks Billy will re-sign Flower, and if he can't trade Gus or not happy with offers, Wallstedt will have to start next season in the minors...again.

For me, it all comes down to, which inexperienced kid? Until I know that, it's hard to feel much outrage. He certainly should be there over Beckman. I could see Ohgren getting a shot there, but I'm not sure I'd trust anyone else with that chance.Latest podcast by Russo and LaPanta was interesting. I'm with you, even though Marjo has been flat out bad. He still has his speed, and his zone entries are the best on the team, but he looks way weaker this year. Unable to turn the corner on an outside move, or win a puck battle, doesn't shoot, and his passes are meh. also falls down a lot. Freddy has been worse. For me, it all comes down to, which inexperienced kid? Until I know that, it's hard to feel much outrage. He certainly should be there over Beckman. That is a serviceable d group that won’t hurt the team badly. If Yurov doesn’t come over and make an instant splash though our forward group is among the worst in the league.I'm with you, even though Marjo has been flat out bad. Beckman looks completely ineffectual. The only thing he has going for him is his youth and potential for improvement, as opposed to Letierri and Luchinni, who are slightly better, but are what they are, at this point.
Anyone who has watched Iowa this year can't argue that Milne, Bankier, or Walker's play screams out that they deserve a NHL spot. Others like Fogarty are known commodities, and have more or less proven that they aren't full time NHL'ers.... good AHL'ers that are injury call up guys at best. Ohgren and Firstov...we'll see.
The only skater that i think is deserving a spot on the team, and this is a fairly late development, is Hunt. The hope is that next fall he will make the team and play regularly over Merrill and Mermis/7D du jour.
Brodin... Faber
Middleton...Spurgeon
Chisholm... Bogosian
Hunt/Merrill

I would mention Hartman and Zucc before Rossi, but those top 3 are vg+. The trouble with our team now is that we are playing 3-5 AHL'ers every night after trading Duhaime and Dewar. Unless Rossi, Marat, and maybe one of Ohgren/Bankier/Milne improve, we are still weak depthwise, because Freddy, Zucc, MarJo and Foligno are declining.Umm not even close to one of the worst in league Kaprizov, Boldy, Ek, Rossi
Guys I’m at least checking in on:We should have enough cap room to make at least 1 decent bottom 6 upgrade this summer. 2 if we don't re-sign Fleury.
I don’t think we should pretend that Duhaime or Dewar were anything substantially better than those AHLers you listed. It’s the same level of play, just different names.I would mention Hartman and Zucc before Rossi, but those top 3 are vg+. Shaw, Letierri, Beckman, and Luchinni simply don't have effective physicality, speed, length, or skill. They try hard, but they are the sort of guys who should be injury call ups on a decent NHL team at best, or 4th liners on cellar teams like CHI or SJS. Before this year I would've said that Gaudreau was a decent #3C, and an asset at 2M/yr, but the decline in his play this year has been precipitous.
In the past it was thought that we didn't have any high end offensive players, and were a bunch of middle sixers, but right now it looks more like we have a really nice top line, and not enough middle sixers.
I'm not pretending. Dewar is better than all 4 of them. Duhaime is way more physical, and faster. I'm not saying that they were great. I am saying that letierri, Luchinni, Beckman, and Shaw are NHL'ers like Victor Rask was a #1C.I don’t think we should pretend that Duhaime or Dewar were anything substantially better than those AHLers you listed. Dewar and Duhaime were average to below average 4th line players. Not that big of a difference.I'm not pretending. Dewar is better than all 4 of them. Duhaime is way more physical, and faster.
