Nothing goodWhat does that say about the GM who expected that same player to be the reinforcements.

All the draft wizards said Lundell's skating was mediocre at best. Many said it was borderline atrocious. Every time I looked at him(playing against men, no less) I thought it was fine. Everyone said that he had limited upside (i.e. #2C at best), and i'm thinking, so we we get two JEE's? Is that so bad?Yeah, if only they would have picked Lundell or Jarvis instead of Rossi. Who would have thought a small and slow skill player would have trouble adjusting to the NHL.
You literally just posted back to me what I stated. Again, how is a guy who scores 9 points in 5 gp "cooling off"? How is Zucc a problem when he scores 8 points in 10 gp?
Our problem is the secondary scoring from Hartman, Foligno, Gaudreau has dried up, Greenway continues to a zero, Rossi disappointed, Goligoski and his scoring has disappeared, and Fiala has gone and not been replaced in any meaningful way.
To take aim at the two highest scoring players on the team seems wrongheaded to me.
Right now we are reduced to hoping that Sammy Walker will come up and save the day.... that's pretty sad(no offense, Sammy). I like Dewar and Shaw, but they can't be expected to be big contributors on the scoresheet, nor can Steel.
2 goals in 5 games and 4 goals in 10 games - Zuccs has also 2 goals in 10 games. They are first line forwards and 6 goals in 10 games isn't great for an elite player (Kaprizov).
Our goal scoring has disappeared from everyone.
His linemate on the other hand...Man, once again, he has a 3 game goal scoring streak, and is on pace for 51 this season. I would really not call that cooling off. 5 goals in 10 games is pretty acceptable from just about anyone in the league. Kaprizov is so far from the problem.
Shame that the real line driver had 4 points for a different team last nightI only wish this was something that was foreseeable and preventable by management.
It’s crazy that .5 goals per game and 1.4 points per game over a 10 game stretch is considered “cooling off.” 3 goals and 4 assists the last 3 games.Man, once again, he has a 3 game goal scoring streak, and is on pace for 51 this season. I seem to recall a lot of people saying they would have been disappointed if we drafted Lundell instead of Rossi. I hope that ends up in our favor. Rossi had a great game down in the AHL with 3 points. All the draft wizards said Lundell's skating was mediocre at best. Many said it was borderline atrocious. Jarvis...I didn't see that coming. He's not the biggest either. He's not exactly burning up the league, and he doesn't play C for CAR.

Kaprizov is really good.
So his likely low point of the season still had him on a 33 goal pace?Last three games. Last two games. Last game.
Kaprizov went for 0 goals in 5 games and 4 goals in 10.

Good article on how Kaprizov is perceived by other top players in the NHL
Anyone get the feeling that Russo is going to take a National spot & Smith is taking over for him?

Love that! I do find it interesting that if you line the lineup as Kap = 1st line, Boldy = 2nd line, GREEF = 3rd line, then our centers go in inverse order with Eriksson Ek>Gaudreau>Steel. Though Steel has 4 points in 5 games since being on the 1st line.Ek keeps racking up points with 9p in last 6 GP. Quietly on pace to match Koivu's career high in points.
