Yeah, had a brain fart, was thinking of the cbj pick.Minnesota is likely to finish top 5 in the NHL

I knew it was going to be shit return but I didn’t expect it to be this badHow do you turn a recent 6th overall pick into a pick in the late 20's and a pick in the late 50's plus an AHL defender?
Honestly that's a major blunder by Waddell.
We have Calgary's pickMontreal can't trade their 1st round pick. We are not contending like the Wild.
True, but we never know what that pick will be. Rather save it and try to move up for Desnoyers. Anyhow, trade is done and good for the Wild!We have Calgary's pick
Columbus just added another 6 years to their current rebuild.
This isn't selling high for a 6th overall, which is why he's bringing back a late 1st and a 2nd.Jiricek is mid. Good on CBJ to sell high. Injury history, consistently - in the AHL, bad mobility and problems with coaches and PT is a nasty mix. His ceiling is Matheson at best.
Spurge is getting old and breaking more easily, as is, sadly, Brodin. Insurance is rad.Where does he slot in Minny? Because they have a good top 4
He should play right away in Columbus. Assuming that happens, watch few of his games and report back. Whatever people think he is, he’s not. This is not some AHL defenseman or depth defenseman. He’s got a lot of things going for him. Said it already, he’s been on a Soucy-type path who the Wild also developed. If he was a RHD, maybe I would see some value here, but now when we have Mateychuk and Svozil in the pipeline, I don’t see the point of getting him
If he belonged in the AHL in Columbus there's no doubt that's where he's going in Minni. My bigger question is where Jiricek belongs with the Wild? All their RHD are occupied. I mean unless you trade away Bogosian he's on the 3rd pairing. But he is better than Jon Merrill.
Bogo & Spurgeon are made of glass. He will likely be needed sooner than later. Bogo has been surprisingly solid for Minnesota. Put him with Brodin, my grandma could be an effective NHL d with him as a partnerMy bigger question is where Jiricek belongs with the Wild? All their RHD are occupied.
