Unless there is something with Hunt that I do not see, I can see how right now this looks like a lose for the BJS. Hunt is a good AHL D man and we all know the difference between the AHL and NHL is pretty big. Right now the pick is 31st over all

Hunt is on most any NHL blue line right now save maybe a handful. Nothing to be ashamed of acquiring him, he’s a strong prospect and is in relative obscurity because he’s a Wild prospect. Going to be a good defender for many years. Could do a lot worse than him especially with a 1st round pick attached to him for a prospect that carries a lot of name recognition but not much behind it at the pro level.

Wild are gambling on what their projected blue line looks like when all the kids come into form. Looks impressive in theory but Jiricek and even Buium have to prove it first.

Return is probably not terrible for Columbus, but quantity, not quality. What do you expect? If you fool around with a player's development, their value around the league is going to drop, and then you'll get quantity, not quality, offers from other teams. No one was going to give up a prized asset for Jiricek.

If he was a RHD, maybe I would see some value here, but now when we have Mateychuk and Svozil in the pipeline, I don’t see the point of getting him

Biuim Jiricek and Faber is a nice future D core if everyone pans out. Faber already looking great
