I'm sure this is protocol for every player being called up. Perhaps Richards' is getting a spot back.
Stoll has been brutal but I would not want to subject him to waivers ... Why risk losing anyone to waivers if you do not have to
If Stoll is sent down, is he really subject to the waiver rules since the trade deadline has passed? I'm not clear he could actually be claimed by another team; the rules get somewhat fuzzy once the deadline passes. Does anyone know for sure?
would he miss three consecutive games due to 'personal affairs' though?
I dont think management would let that happen if it werent for something extremely serious. methinks he's getting a second chance
but then who goes down?
I believe we are allowed 3 or 4 emergency call ups or something to that extent
I think the roster would be ok as is, or if it was an issue they'd wait for the playoffs and bring up some other youngsters along with him. judging from Stoll's putrid performance last night, I'd have to think he's the one that would sitbut then who goes down?
Roster limits went away after the deadline, no?
Great job, mayor. Not once did you actually say where he was.
I don't know for sure but I think he could be claimed but if claimed he would not be eligible to play in any playoff games with his new team as he would need to be on their roster at the deadline.
So maybe he wouldn't get claimed as he's a UFA, or maybe a bubble team picks him up to help get them in.
Amazing how desperate for attention people are.
It's hysterical what a bitter, old man you are.
Figured I'd quote this so that it doesn't get lost when you try to delete it after Ron's revealed as a saint or something.
Makes sense since someone also told me today that a player can, in fact, be traded after the trade deadline but the players in the deal cannot take part in the play-offs. Thanks.
Who knows what is going on though, it could be that the Kings know one way or the other they owe this guy a ton of money and they want to see where he stands physically before this summer when they have to decide just how they go about getting rid of this. These results may be something that a potential trade partner would want to see? Maybe they are looking for something that could warrant LTIR, you never know.
I believe once the season ends that Richards is under no contractual obligation at all to do any kind of testing unelss he agrees to it. Who knows how good his terms are with DL and management, if you were demoted from your job and shipped across the country to New England a couple of days after getting engaged you may not be the happiest guy in the world and could easily say screw you with regards to returning to LA for testing once the Monarchs/Kings season ended.
The Kings are 12-6-1 and Richards former linemates are playing the best hockey of their careers since the demotion, I just don't see a reason to bring him up, we'll see though.
The only thing I've ever seen him post on this board is talking **** about Mayor's Manor.
