Yet, He would still be a upgrade to their D…So he could be -30 and make bad PP decisions for them instead of us?

Well for Hudson sure but not for Guhle, it's been two seasons of Matheson being f***ing shit. It’s been two games.
Hutson and Guhle are completely outplaying Matheson.
No, he does not. No one is untradeable, and we would be foolish to not consider a core player in return for him, if one were offered, but otherwise Matheson is someone to build around, not look to get rid of.He needs to be moved.
Take another look at Matheson's numbers for 2022-23Well for Hudson sure but not for Guhle, it's been two seasons of Matheson being f***ing shit.
The only argument for Matheson is numbers. It's the same argument as Gus, TDA and Gost. Not sure yet that their levels are sustainable, but if ithey are, that is gggggggreat! Can't have enough top-4 defencemen! GO team GO!!

TDA has issues on different levels. The only argument for Matheson is numbers. It's the same argument as Gus, TDA and Gost.
It's not a lack of effort. He might be trying too hard sometimes. He's better than this year's Jeff Petry in Detroit. The fans who are booing Matheson... These fans aren't real fans... Matheson was ready die for the Habs last season! And this how these fans are thanking Matheson???
Matheson is great as the offensive side of a 2nd pairing. Could play 20-23 minutes, play on PP2. Too bad Struble is a lefty as well, would be a good fit IMO. Why not Matheson/Savard though? Why are we in a hurry to trade a hometown D who just scored 60+ points, is loved in the locker room, and fills a gap in the lineup? Please don't let this be Brisebois all over again.
If Struble was a RD that'd be a great fit, but not sure I wanna play a young D on his off-side with a D like Matheson.I'm.ok with Matheson - Savard. But I'd like to see Matheson - Struble and Xhekaj - Savard. I like the idea of a vet with a young guy and then Hitson - Guhle.
What do we do until Struble is back with Barron? Maybe Matheson - Savard and Xhekaj - Barron. Or Matheson - Barron, Xhekaj - Savard. Maybe Matheson plays more responsible when he's got to be big brother to Barron.
W I think we'll see how he does at RD when he's healthy, whether with Xhekaj or Matheson, and then go from there. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.If Struble was a RD that'd be a great fit, but not sure I wanna play a young D on his off-side with a D like Matheson.

keep pumping those numbies
Bunch of posters here selling snake oil that Matheson is horrible defensively, can't hold Hutson's jockstrap offensively, "can't pass to his right", fails to hold the offensive line "several times per game", is killing our power play ...... ALL LIES.
It's ok to want Lane Hutson to have a great career, but there is zero reason to exaggerate the faults of our best all-round defenceman, and who does it all on 3D money. 7 blocked shots tonight in a big road win. Actively breaks up plays instead of just standing around and watching a cycle all the time. A key part of our penalty kill.
Of course, bring on Hutson and Guhle and Reinbacher. Let's have the best top-4 in the league, real soon!

HFBoards did something weird when I posted it. Fixed now.Bro, that's not me. You took someone else's post and slapped my name on it.
Loool, of course you're using the DB page to tell us he's having great gamesBunch of posters here selling snake oil that Matheson is horrible defensively, can't hold Hutson's jockstrap offensively, "can't pass to his right", fails to hold the offensive line "several times per game", is killing our power play ...... HockeyDB doesn't count blocked shots. HockeyDB coesn't tell you how many plays he kills. Hockey DB doesn't show that he passes to both left and right. I watch the games.Loool, of course you're using the DB page to tell us he's having great games
Read the GDTs and see how many times his name is mentionned, you'll see it wasn't positive at all.
I'm bumping this because holy shit he's getting worse by the second. At this rate he's going to be a cap dump again.
