But I promise you NHL teams would value a player like Matheson, playing on a better team in a role he’s more suited for and at his very affordable salary.

I think you’ve got this grand illusion that teams are filled with amazing top 4 Dmen, but if you actually came up for air from your Habs bunker once in awhile, you’d realize that there’s a shortage of this type of Dman in the NHL (before you get all hot and bothered, I'm talking about the profile of player, not necessarily the player himself)

Funny when I watch I see differently and when I go on other team boards I see the same shit being said about their Dmen, so go figure.

You cant throw young D man under the bus, it will be bad for their development. Just like Ottawa and Buffalo do since 8 years. If we trade Matheson it has to be for a good return, for example a number 4RD or a very good draft pick+an established D man.

Habs need a RHD so Guhle can shift over to his natural left side, he can take those minutes for 5 on 5 and PK. Hutson can take the PP1 duties while Guhle gets the PP2.

It will be a great test to see if Guhle can actually be a number 1

with 39sec left Matheson strength is skating with the puck give on a PP or 6 on 5 when everyone is stationary I rather have Xhekaj slap shot.
Also people will shit on Matheson but we were losing the game before he got fell and lost the puck, that isn’t the turning point… that 3rd goal should have been tripping in the NJ zone… we just seem to have the worst luck every thing that goes wrong also seem to end up in the back of the net…
